4. Man doesn’t feel free in the U.S. Hanging from Statue of Liberty. 
5. Immigrants getting ready to dock in the U.S.A. 
6. Getting physical in order to join the military. 
What message do you think the photographer was trying to convey? 
1. Women were the ones the cooked in the kitchen.

What could you do to find more information about this photograph? 
1. Search timeframe and those in the photo. Check libraries for diaries/ journals from the people. 
2. Research those who were kids during that time and figure out what they were being told. 
3. Research protests during that time period. 
4. See if you can figure out who made the photo. 
5. Research to find out who the people are and then research them. 
6. Research military members during the time period.

2. Mid to late 60’s 
3. Fixing some country, homemade food 
2- 1. Hilter used kids to show his “innocence”
