2. Mission Statement
At P.A.W.S. of Michigan we believe in the intrinsic value and
sanctity of all animals and advocate for their humane, compassionate,
and responsible treatment. It is our mission to protect
and care for homeless animals by placing them with loving
foster families until compatible permanent homes can be found
and to engage in benevolent and charitable activities to support
this goal. We are dedicated to lowering the number of animals
needlessly euthanized in our community each year by promoting
the spaying and neutering of all companion animals and in
educating the public on the importance of responsible animal
guardianship. Working in alliance with other rescue groups
and animal welfare agencies we seek to develop a network of
like-minded individuals who strive to eliminate animal suffering
and create an animal-friendly community. We believe that our
values, decisions, and conduct should reflect our mission and
be a model for others in their care and treatment of animals.
