1. WHAT’S HAPPENING AROUND THE TOWN THIS WEEKEND?
March 17-19, 2017
St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dogtown —(Fri. Mar. 17; parade begins at 12:30
pm) — The Ancient Order of Hibernians has sponsored this parade since 1984 – an event al-
ways held on St Patrick’s Day. The parade is a family-oriented tradition of honoring St. Patrick
that takes place in the Dogtown region of St. Louis City – with the majority of the parade route

NCAA Men’s Division 1 Wrestling Championships (Thur. Mar. 16-Sat. Mar.
18, 10 am-8 pm & Sun. Mar. 12, 10 am-5 pm.) — St. Louis is proud to welcome the return
of the 2017 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, held at the Scottrade Center. This will be
the eighth time since 2000 for the Gateway City to host the championships. Ticket costs be-

2017 Capitol Sports Volleyball Mideast Qualifier (Fri. Mar. 17-Sun. Mar. 19;
schedule available online) — Within the MEQ there are numerous tournaments. These tour-
naments are the following divisions: Open, National (12 & Under Only), USA, & American. The
divisions are then divided into tournaments by age group (18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12). All tour-

2017 NCAA’s Frozen Four at The Family Arena in St. Charles (Fri. Mar. 17, 5 pm and 8 pm semifinals
& Sun. Mar. 19; 2 pm final): The St. Louis Sports Commission and Lindenwood University are excited to co-host the 2017
NCAA Women's Frozen Four at The Family Arena. St. Louis has a tremendous history with the sport of hockey and has emerged
as a prime city for youth, amateur and professional development. Today, St. Louis is home to some of the Midwest’s best youth
hockey development programs with players funneling into the U.S. program, junior hockey and Division I hockey. As a hotbed

STL Symphony Live at Powell Hall: Raiders of the Lost Ark (Fri. Mar. 17 and Sat. Mar. 18, 7-10 pm;
Sun. Mar. 19, 2-5 pm) — The film that gave the world one of its greatest movie heroes, archeologist Indiana Jones, is back

Orchid Show 2017 at the Missouri Botanical Garden (Through Mar. 26; 9 am-5 pm daily; closed Mon-
days) — The annual Orchid Show offers visitors a once-a-year opportunity to see a rotating display of hundreds of orchids
from the Garden’s permanent living collection amid a tropical oasis inside Orthwein Floral Display Hall. Admission free for Gar-

“March Spring Fever” with Family Sundays at the Saint Louis Art Museum: (Sun. Mar 19; 1-4 pm)
— You're invited to the Museum every Sunday afternoon for hands-on art activities and a lively 30-minute family tour through
