WOOF FESTIVAL AT GRAND PRAIRIE ANIMAL SHELTER
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (April 28, 2014) – Come have a barking good time and celebrate
puppy love at Prairie Paws Adoption Center’s first ever Woof Festival on May 3 from 10 a.m. to
4 p.m. Girl Scout Gold Award candidate, Braxtan Adams, and Prairie Paws communications
intern, Vanessa Suarez, organized the festival in order to educate the public about general pet
care, vaccinations and spay-neuter efforts.
The festival will feature a dog photo booth, a dog fashion show, trick contests, a bounce house
for kids, home-made treats, food trucks, informational booths, informational seminars and much
more. Admission to the event and activities are free.
At the festival, attendees will receive information from representatives of PetSmart, Texas
Coalition for Animal Protection, Spay-Neuter Network, Man’s Best Friend, Sharon’s Collars,
Doggie Do’s and many more. Informational booth topics range from animal care to coping with
the loss of your animal.

The majority of the festivities will take place at Central Bark, just north of Prairie Paws
Adoption Center, 2222 W. Warrior Trail. The shelter will also be celebrating Cinco de Meow’o
with a $35 adoption special for all animals.
