IV. PROCEDURE
A. Reviewing previous
Lesson or presenting new
lesson
 Discuss about requirements in ICT Class.
 Discuss about grading system in ICT Class.
B. Establishing a purpose for
the lesson
 What are the things what we need to do to minimize hazard risks in a laboratory?
C. Presenting examples/
instances of the new
lesson.
Occupational health and safety (OHS) is a planned system of working to prevent illness and injury where you work by recognizing and identifying
hazards and risks. Health and safety procedures are the responsibility of all persons in the computer and technology industries. You must identify the
hazards where you are working and decide how dangerous they are. Eliminate hazard or modify the risk that it presents.
D. Discussing new concepts
and practicing new
skills.#1
OHS or Occupational Health and Safety refers to the action, policies, procedures and activities that aim to protect the health, safety and welfare of all
people at the workplace.
E. Discussing new concepts
and practicing new skills
#2.
Occupational Health and Safety Procedure (OHSP):
1. Contingency measures during workplace accidents, fire and other emergencies are recognized.
2. Personal protective equipment is correctly used in accordance with organization OHS procedures and practices.
3. Hazard/risks in the workplace and their corresponding indicators are identified to minimize or eliminate risk to co-workers, workplace and
environment.
4. Take necessary precautions to protect the components of the computer from damage caused by ESD (Electrostatic Discharge).
5. Hold the components by the edges and do not touch the ICs.
6. Read and follow instructions on the manual carefully.
7. Do not use excessive force if things don’t quite slip into place.
Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control:
The Think Safe Steps:
1. Spot the Hazard
2. Assess the Risk
3. Make the Changes
F. Developing Mastery
(Lead to Formative
Assessment 3)
 What are the 7 Occupational Health and Safety Procedure (OHSP)?
G. Finding practical
application of concepts
and skills in daily living
 Why do we need to understand and apply the 7 Occupational Health and Safety Procedure (OHSP) in our laboratory?
H. Making Generalization
and Abstraction about
the Lesson.
 What have you learned?
 The goal of an occupational safety and health program is to foster a safe and healthy occupational environment. OSH also protects
all the general public who may be affected by the occupational environment.
I. Evaluating Learning Non-recorded Formative Assessment
You are given 10 minutes to go around the school and identify at least 1 hazard.
Perform the Think Safe Steps and fill out the chart below.
See attached Appendix 1
J. Additional Activities for
Application or
Remediation
V. REMARKS
VI. REFLECTION
A. No. of learners earned
80% in the evaluation.
B. No. of learners who
required additional
activities for remediation
who scored below 80%
C. Did the remedial lesson
work? No. of learners
who have caught up with
the lesson.
D. No. of learner who
continue to require
remediation
E. Which of my teaching
strategies worked well?
Why did these works?
F. What difficulties did I
encounter which my
principal or supervisor
can help me solve?
G. What innovation or
localized materials did I
used/discover which I
wish to share with other
teachers?
