4. SET IT UP
4
• Get your brand a Pinterest Business account NOW!
• If you have a regular Pinterest account set up for it, convert it
to a business account
• Add a complete description of your brand in the About section
• Add your icon to the account
• Connect and link to your website
5. PLANT THE SEEDS
5
• Create at least 5 Pinterest Boards to seed your account
• Be sure each board has a category selected and a description
including key search terms that people would use to find
brands like yours
• Add at least 20 pins to each new board you create
• An empty Pinterest board serves no purpose.
• People need to see pins before they’ll follow a board
• Do a search for your brand on Pinterest and curate all the
content that is already out there about you
6. MEET THE RIGHT PEOPLE
6
• Start following Pinterest users in the Tequila industry
• By following other accounts in the same industry, you can
take advantage of some of the pins they’ve already pinned.
This comes in particularly handy when creating boards for
cocktails, foods or tequila bars.
• Start following Tequila Aficionado
• Start following Tequila lovers
• By following Tequila lovers, you’re bringing your brand to
their attention in the least spammy way possible!
7. SHAKE IT UP
7
• Pin 5-10 times daily
• This may sound like a lot, but it really is the norm for Pinterest. Many
successful businesses post even more that that!
• Comment on Pins daily
• If you comment on a pin, that comment will stay there and lead other
people back to your account like a delicious cookie crumb trail. Make
use of it.
• Join group boards
• Group boards are a great way to build your brand because other
pinners join you in pinning to and bringing followers to those boards
and eventually, your account.
• Tequila Aficionado has several group boards that you can join. Just
email Lisa@TequilaAficionado.com
