Founded by Linda Jamieson, a former member and graduate of the Royal Academy of Dance in London, England, Linda Jamieson School of Dance is a certificate dancing program that teaches children and teenagers how to dance and become professional dancers. The Linda Jamieson School of Dance has ballet, jazz and repertoire classes and programs in which the participants can learn choreography and dancing styles used in shows such as Swan Lake. Swan Lake was first performed in 1877 in Moscow at the Bolshoi Theater and it is a ballet dance designed by Tchaikovsky. Over 100 years after its creation the ballet dance and show is still played regularly throughout the world as it presents an amazing love story with drama and fantasy. Swan Lake tells the story of Prince Siegfried and the swan princess Odette. Odette was cursed to spend all her days in the form of a swan and her nights as a woman. It so happens that Odette was cursed by Prince Siegfried's mentor, who he eventually fights in order to relieve Odette of her curse. The ending of the story is tragic as both Siegfried and Odette decide to jump into the lake and die to escape the curse while the other cursed swans can return to their human form.
