but for purchased pdf books not from Amazon, we can't open those pdfs. For why,

Part 1: How to add personal PDF files to Kindle
There are 2 methods that we can use. We can both email the fils to Amazon and
copy files to Kindle with USB. Here I think the latter is more easy to use.
Step 1: Plug your Kindle into your PC or Mac with USB cable.
Step 2: Copy your pdf files to "documents" folder within kindle. Not to the
"Books" folder, don't forget it, unless you may can't find your pdf files on your
kindle.
Step 3: Eject your kindle. After going out of USB drive mode, you will see your
pdf files documents are listed on the home page of your Kindle. Just tap it to
open. If not, you can also check "Docs" to find your files.
Part 2: How to add purchased PDF books to Kindle
For purchased or downloaded PDF books from Kobo, Nook, Sony store, and even
another online store, we can't copy directly because:

2. Reason 1: Amazon Kindle devices only support those books with AZW3, AZW,
MOBI, PRC, TPZ formats (Kindle ebook format), not PDF.
Reason 2: Most of purchased PDF books are protected with Adobe Adept DRM,
which prevent us copying, transferring, sharing those books to non-Adobe devices,
certainly including Kindle.
So if we want to add pdf books to Kindle, we must remove Adobe drm and
convert pdf to Kindle format. As mobi is the most common kindle format that any

4Convert PDF to MOBI
At the output format list select "mobi". Then click "Convert" button to start the
