3. Santa Maria
Santa Maria was built in
the 13° century on the
side of a former church
after a burning in 1150.
Indoors there is a wood
statue of San Lidano(one
of the patron of Sezze). In
1940 Vittorio Emanuele
declared the church a
national monument.
4. The house of San Carlo
The house of San Carlo is
a museum where there
are a lot of finds of the
Sezze’s Patron, San Carlo
Marchionne. It is
situated in the historical
centre of the city. In the

5. Polygonal walls
The Polygonal walls
were built from
Cyclops. The name
of the city became
from Ercole. He is,
according to the
legend, the fouder
of Sezze. The walls
were built all around
the city to protect
people from rivals.
6. San Lidano’s arches
The two arches are
a part of a roman
bridge, that was
composed from
three arches. Near
the arches of San
Lidano there were
a lot of finds of the
4° century b.C.
7. The amphitheather
It was a Roman theather built outdoor in 1950. Now,
after a renovation, it isn’t still practicable. In the past,
here actors played shows. A famous italian film, called
“Le schiave di Cartagine”,
was recorded by
Guido Brignone in
1956 in Sezze.
8. The amphitheather cross
It’s a big iron cross
situated near the
Amphitheather
that Filiberto Gigli
built in 1950. With
this symbol, in
1933, he invited
people to act
“Christ Fondness”
on Good Friday.
9. Dinosaurs footprints
In 2003, Daniele
Raponi and Gaspare
Morgante
discovered some
traces in a
mudstone. At the
moment you can’t
visit the site but the
public service is
providing to open an
archeological site.
10. Ferro di cavallo(horseshoe)
Ferro di cavallo is the main square in Sezze with a
hoseshoe form. Here young and old people can
meet friends, eat an ice cream or a pizza, catch
the bus…
