We all know college is hard; if it were easy, everyone would have a degree and no one would ever
ask for help. But here at Crafton Hills College, tutors are available to help out students in any way,
so that those who struggle can do well and be successful. These mentors don't just lecture, they take
the time to make sure students understand and comprehend what is being taught. Tutors are at hand
for a variety of subjects, some have appointments for one on one time and others are for use at one's
convenience. The best part is, students don't have to search for a tutor, or post flyers saying "HELP

Besides the Tutoring Center, the library is also very resourceful and entirely useful. It's filled
with computers, private rooms, a small auditorium, a copy room and thousands of books (which
are found on the top floor of the LRC). Writing tutors will encourage students to visit the library,
especially when it comes to research papers. Now, continuing on to the Tutoring Center, a few
more steps and you have reached a set of stairs that lead downward. Down these twenty or so
steps is the Tutoring Center. After reaching the bottom, there is a small doorway to the left and a
sign that says "Welcome to the Tutoring Center!", as a confirmation that one is indeed in the
right place. The Tutoring Center is a large rectangle shaped room, with small separate glass
enclosed rooms around the edges. The rooms on the left and right are offices of some professors
an instructors, while the back wall has some small rooms for study groups and private tutoring
lessons, with one very large room painted bright yellow. A front desk is located to the immediate
right once entered. Here is where anyone can receive information about the Tutoring Center and
view waiting lists for certain subject tutors; flyers and booklets are also free to take. The center of
the room has two long tables with twenty computers on both sides for student use, and on each side
of those tables are four small square tables with four chairs each for groups or alone work. These

Becca has dark brown, slightly curling hair that has been slowly growing longer since I have met
her. She has thick, black glasses that add to her personality. She is about five and a half feet tall
and slightly chubby. She has a sense of style that has a pinch of something nerdy about it whether it
being one of her purses that she brings with her or it being her whole outfit such as her "Legend of
Zelda: The Windwaker" dress that has multiple stained–glass windows from that game. I met Becca
when I was in 10th grade when my neighbor was having a small movie watching party. I really
didn't talk to her there but during the following year, when she was in 9th grade, our friendship
started to grow. We were both on the musical crew for video and ended up learning a lot about her
personality. She is a fun, generous, hardworking, caring person who will put others in front of
herself about 95% of the time. When I went over to her house one time and she was continuously
doing chores as I was there because nothing had been done all week due to her and her mom being
busy. Her dad had offered to do some of the chores so that we can hang out for a little bit, but she
declined his offer because she "only had a little bit more to do". It was a half an hour later when
she had gotten done. About 15 minutes later, she started to get her mom's bag ready for work at
eleven o'clock at night along with getting coffee ready for her mother just like she has been doing for
the past few weekends. I

Descriptive Essay About My Class
When my English teacher announced to my class one day that we had to memorize a poem and
present it out loud in front everyone I froze. My heart started beating in my chest, as that familiar
feeling of panic began churning in my stomach. There was no way I could've done that. I couldn't
even remember what I ate for breakfast this morning let alone a whole poem. And I was terrible at
public speaking. Or at least, in this school I was.
I had transferred to a new middle school in the seventh grade rather than in sixth. My old
elementary school went up until sixth grade, so this left me in a school filled with kids who
already knew each other. And to make matters worse, I was really shy. I remembered that most of
the kids in my class were really loud and outgoing. All of them already belonged to a clique of
some sort and I was basically stuck as the new, and extremely quiet, girl. In elementary, I was the
total opposite. I was Student Body President, and that required me to make speeches in front of
the whole school every week. I used to volunteer for everything, raise my hand for every question
and rushed to read every book out loud. But here, it was different. I didn't know anyone, and I
wasn't too sure how to make friends because everyone seemed to already found theirs. And to my
little 12–year old self, this was a disaster.
Even though I had just transferred to a new school, I was familiar with this assignment. In my last
school, we used to have a "Poem in My Pocket" day, where we would basically have a physical
poem in our pocket and would have to recite it to anyone who asked us to. It wasn't the exact
thing, but something similar to what I had to do now. The task was simply, just memorize a poem
and recite to the class. The only catch was that the poem had to relate to you in some way or
another. It was an easy 100. But for me, this was much more difficult than it seemed. There were so
many questions running through my head. For starters, I had no clue what poem I wanted to
memorize, or which one represented me. The girl sitting next to me was memorizing Edgar Allan Poe
's Annabel Lee and that poem was about six stanzas long. I felt that everyone around me was doing
such a difficult poem that maybe I had

Three Descriptive Research Methods Essay
One of of three methods used for descriptive research is the case study. The case study method is
the oldest form of research used in psychology today. To help you better understand what case
studies are I would recommend you think of an individual person case. Case study is when
someone studies one person to explain things that happen for all of us. Basically applying the
outcome to all people ; one representing all. Case studies will describe your behavior. In present
day we have noticed that although the individual cases may be accurate, it only applies to that one
person. There will always be a conflict of interest because what may happen to one person does not
necessarily happen to the next. For example you may say that after...show more content...
This type of research gathers information from a large group of people. It will be not go into depth
as much as the case study might and involves many cases. As an example think of making you own
survey and distributing it out to various amounts of people, gathering the information and
conducting you hypothesis. We are constantly asked to participate in surveys whether its an
internet advertisement or a class handout from the college you attend. When asking you question
you have to be careful as to how you word the question. The words you choose may influence a
participant to lean toward a certain side. You may sound biased toward one issue which will effect
you survey and hypothesis. Using random sampling allows researcher to have a fair representation
of the subjects under study. Every person has an equal chance of participating. I would use this
method with very larger groups of people. Ex. school. The last from of research would be naturalistic
observation. Basically watching and recording the behavior of different subjects in the natural
environment.Much of the reality shows today could be considered a form of naturalistic observation.
Pending on how much the program actually interferes with the subject , they allow for an interesting
hypothesis. This research will describe the behavior of an subject. Now that we have the information
from the research we can evaluate the differences and similarities. When the research reveals that one

Descriptive Essay About A Library
Every person has their place. The kind of place where the world could be ending but as long as
their in that special place, they can leave the world in peace. For some it's their hometown, the gym,
a certain cafe or restaurant, or even a random spot with a sentimental meaning. For me, this place is
the Edmon Low Library here at Oklahoma State University. As a high school student, the library
was a place to check out books and print papers for free. The idea of spending hours there was
unheard of, and never spiked an interest in me. Once I started my freshman year in college, this
speculation quickly changed. From the first time I toured Oklahoma State University, I
wondered why the dazzling Georgian style library was so overwhelmingly huge. It was in the
heart of osu near the main campus facilities: the Union, Theta Pond, and various classroom
buildings. Being that the library was such a main attraction, I was curious to know why. I
wondered why there was a cafe and why each level had a different noise limit. All of these things
seemed great, but unnecessary at the same time. After all, the only thing the library was good for
in my mind was basic needs for my english class. My first day at osu I decided to see what all the
hype about this special library was. The more I explored the different levels, the more I found.
Not only were there books, free printing, a cafe, and noise accommodations, but there were also
reserved study rooms, 3D printing, subject librarians, free electronic checkouts, and so much more.
The resources available to me and all OSU students from just a library seemed almost too good to
be true. From the restoring smell of coffee on the first floor, to the antique smell of old books on the
4th floor, nothing makes you want to pull out a good book more than Edmon Low. I was almost
convinced the staff wanted students to move in, being that they are opened 24 hours on weekdays.
With students being so busy, Edom Low is a convenient place to go no matter the time of day.
Whether you're a student coming home from a late night shift not wanting to wake up your
roommates to study, or even just need to pull an all nighter for that big test, there is no such thing as
being a disturbance at the

As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a

think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought
all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The
Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and

until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in
the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock
formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot
the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind
is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide
takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the
beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to

magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it.
You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy
mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many
opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting

Descriptive Essay About My Village
Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small
village located in Shandong province. There are about two thousand people in the village. Small as
it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and cool
in summer. It's a good place for tourism.
The most attractions in the village are the river around my hometown and the green hills opposite
the river. On the hills there are large tea plantations and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all
kinds of big and smooth cobbles, flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps
playing in the water. When spring was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the
willows by the river are putting forth a lot of tender branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin
branches gently brush the cool and refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the
river. Spring is also a season of sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are
playing all kinds of games near the river, such as swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on.
Summer follows spring. The children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water
and make splashes. The sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are
mixed together. The birds in the woods are unwilling to be lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The
old people sat under the big trees talking about their life

Descriptive Essay About My First Job
My First Job. Or should I say the first instance where I earned a large sum of money for working.
It was not that hard only moving a little bit of mulch. But it meant a lot in a different way. I was
becoming an adult working hard in return for a few scraps of paper. The paper that makes the
world go round. I was earning it through some tough, but short labor. The Work was let's just say
cumbersome. It was a warm day in March the sun was blistering hot, heating anything under it
like an oven. While a bitter cold breeze blew all the heat away. Except in my case, wearing storm,
including wind resistant pants and a shirt that trapped that heat right in. Let's just say I was
sweating in a few minutes. I hate my thick Wisconsin blood. The heat would have not been that
bad if my face and hands weren't rosy from the chill. The job was tough but I was growing up. I
quickly grew calluses on my hands and had dirt in my pores. There were scratches on my arms
and pine needles down my neck. I was starting to look like a man. I was starting to become like my
dad. Hands callused and skin tough and thick like leather. The palms rough with wear. I was only
beginning. Hands soft, muscles strong, but not hardened, built for work. This was only the beginning.
Ever hour or so another muscle group would get sore. Before long everything hurt. But I knew it
would all be worth it in the end. Every adult worked and I could too, the money was worth it. Soon
that was all that filled my mind the

My College Experience Essay examples
My College Experience
Throughout my lifetime I have listened to people reflect back on their college experiences and
explain how college is supposed to be "the best experience of your life." The summer after my senior
year I use to try and imagine what my first semester was going to be like based on what I had heard
people talk about in the past. After my first semester at NC State I realized that I couldn't fully
understand what college was like until I experienced it for myself. My first couple of weeks at
Ohio State was rough and really tested my strength (mental and physical). I faced challenges and
obstacles that I had never heard about in those past college experience conversations. All of a

assignment because I didn't properly read my syllabus and my professor never mentioned it. These
were all new problems that could have easily let escalate without taking the proper actions. For the
most part I was doing fairly well but a few of my grades began to plummet. I was losing the
confidence in myself and started to wonder if going to college had been the best decision. The time
had come for me to grow up and become an adult even I didn't feel the time was right. I immediately
began attending tutoring sessions, working with peers and also keeping a daily to–do list. These
factors were the eventually led to drastic improvement and success. After my first semester I
learned how better manage my time, take advantage of campus resources and also how to organize
myself better. These struggles also taught me that sometimes I try and rush through things instead
of taking my time. I realized that one of my strong points is being able to really do well when my
back is against the wall. Although I was unhappy while facing obstacles I am happy I experienced
them. I believe this experience was the reason for my

Reflection On My English 101 Experience
Reflecting on My English 101 Experience I used to consider writing as tumble words from your
mind, write, read it through, fix minor mistakes, and done. However, you rarely get successful. The
truth is many students, including myself, struggle with starting to write a word, or getting stuck in
the middle without knowing the main point of the writing. After completing English 101, I can
explain the writing process, evaluate the strengths of my essay, and identify my weaknesses.
Throughout English 101, I learned that the following the writing process was imperative. Before
taking this class, I use to always skip the pre–writing step considering that it is just an easy and
unnecessary step. Consequently, I struggled to figure how to start writing, and most importantly I
struggled to figure out the main point while writing the draft. And then I finish the first draft close to
the deadline that I do not have time to read it not to mention revising. It was after I started this class
that learned that pre–writing is vital, and requires time and attention as it holds the base of the
whole writing. My professor used different analogies such as blueprint for building and map for
navigation to explain the importance. It really speeded up my writing after I started to utilize it. I
have learned outlining before, but part of the pre–writing that I was fortunate enough to learning in
English 101 is the writing triangle. Even before outlining, the topic, purpose, and audience of the

Essay about My First Time Away From Home
"My First Time Away From Home" Leaving to go to college was my very first time away from
home, and it took a lot of adjusting to a new surrounding. I didn't have my mom right by my side
anymore and I needed to become more independent on doing things on my own. Adjusting to a
new city, community, and school was a challenge because I was used to being in my own city,
with my old friends, at my old school. I often got homesick and wanted to go home, but I soon
adjusted. At first when I originally started taking about getting out of the house, and going to school

the river walk just to have a nice time. It was the hang out, and I just knew that Austin didn't have
anything that could compare. I would often get homesick because I missed my family so much.
San Antonio is only an hour away from Austin so it was easy for me to make the trip back home.
I missed home so much that I have gone back home every single weekend since I have been in
college. I had started to get used to being in another city, and away from my family. Actually, I

Iowa State University offers a large campus. The campus itself entirely is around the size of my
hometown. I have lived on campus for a few weeks now, and I know most of the campus, yet
spend most of my time in my dorm. Whenever I am not in my dorm or in class though, I often
find myself wandering around campus. When wandering around campus I usually look for the
best spots for me just in case I want to sit around and relax. Of my favorite spots to visit, they are
closer and very appealing to see. They however are also very popular places to visit, so many
students visit them. What I mean by closer, is that these places are not too far away from my
dorm on campus. I live in the Wilson Hall dormitory, known as one of the Towers, and it is quite
far from the main campus. Seeing as I walk everyday to and from the main campus to and from
my dorm, I tend to walk the same route, as to shorten the walk time it takes and be familiar with the
area. On days I walk to my favorite spot, which is the second concrete bench next to the Campanile,
and I just sit there for hours and relax. Wilson Hall's dining hall is called Storms, and is located
maybe 80–100 yards North of Wilson. As I leave through the North East exit of Wilson Hall, I
cross the diagonal sidewalk running from Wilson to Storm's East Entrance/Exit. I tend to eat supper
at Storms, and as I exit through the same entrance, I leave and grab an apple to eat along the way
heading to the Campanile. I walk up Welch Street,

Descriptive Essay On A Bag
For most college students, carrying some form of bag is a necessity. Depending on the person, they
might carry a backpack, purse, messenger bag, tote, or something else. Bags are sometimes a way
to express yourself, and sometimes appearance doesn't matter rather the functionality of it. Many
people chose their bag of choice based on these ideas.
For myself, my choice of bag was due to convenience and I'll explain. The backpack I use currently, I
have had since my sophomore year of high school. It is a grey JanSport backpack, that has one large
pocket and one small pocket. It has a giant hole in the side from years of use and to put it nicely I
am to frugal to buy a new one. Until, the straps breakoff I will probably continue to use it. In high
school I chose this backpack based on appearance (Grey, which is my favorite color) and the
popularity of the brand. Today, I don't care much about the appearance, as many could gather from
the giant hole. I use it because I have it and its still functional.
Laptop: My laptop is a necessity for me and that is why I always carry it in my backpack. I'm often
on campus most of the day and I use the laptop to work on assignments, quizzes, watch Netflix
between classes, or browse the internet.
Binder: My binder is a Đ’Đ… inch white organizational tool. I use it to hold hard copies of assignments
to prevent damage and blank college ruled paper in case I need a piece for an in–class assignment. In

West Virginia University has hands down the most gorgeous campus I have ever seen. Every

Hungry At London Heathrow Airport? Head Over To Oriel Brasserie!
LEAD PARAGRAPH
Pow–wowing in your trainers whilst on the move, luggage in one hand, a handbag in the other and
rushing to get to the airport: that's usually me. However, when I arrive to the airport, I usually find
myself with ample time and quite frankly I had no need to move so fast! What does one do in such
an instance? Well, if you're flying out from London Heathrow Airport's Terminal 3, there is only
one place that you should be relaxing in and that's Oriel Grande Brasserie. Owned by the Casual
Dining Group which also owns CafГ© Rouge, Bella Italia, La Tasca, Las Inguanas etc., Oriel
Grande Brasserie is definitely a special place to be in and in my view, a little bit better than the
others in its group. It is located close to the entrance of the terminal and before the check–in desks,
so its very easy to spot.

A grande Parisian cafe with cool jazz and retro posters
It is modelled as an old grand cafГ© in Paris, albeit of course in London and in the airport but this
is certainly fitting if you're flying out to Paris and want to enjoy the style beforehand! Oriel
Grande Brasserie has a very classy, elegant and modern style with a flair of art deco. It certainly
adds a tiny bit of grandeur and sparkle in the airport. Being quite a popular establishment, you
may find yourself having to queue but don't be disheartened as the queue is rather short and
sweet and you should be seated quickly (and in my view, a few minutes wait is worth it for this
place). Unsurprisingly with its Parisian dГ©cor, Oriel Grande Brasserie offers premium French
inspired dishes for every meal in the day and it has to be one of the best airport restaurants that I
have certainly ever experienced! As you can see from the photograph, its definitely not your usual
restaurant in the airport. The closer that you get to it, you louder you will hear the cool jazz music
being played in the background and will notice the retro travel posters and photos on the wall.

Descriptive Essay About A Student
I have known Victor for four years and can say I know him very well. I've had the pleasure to share
classes with Victor throughout high school, work on group presentations and projects, as well as
take part in student panel information sessions to Latinx parents and students interested in applying
to our school.
Freshman year, Victor was a shystudent and would only talk to me about our math homework and
the way he understood complex equations. Although he's always been willing to stand out in class as
a bright student, it wasn't until Junior year that I noticed him become more outspoken and willing to
take social and academic risks.
Junior year second semester, we had almost all of our college classes at North Carolina Central
university together. I enjoyed working with him because he was great at communicating his ideas
and always supported me to go the extra mile in everything we did. We've worked on two short
movies for a class together and I admire his patience and detailed–oriented personality.
Victor is the bravest person I know. Our first semester of senior year was extremely difficult for
him because as much as he wants to go to college, he knew that he couldn't afford it. As a DACA
student, there were only a limited number of scholarships he qualified for. On occasions when we
had lunch together, he would breakdown in tears when we spoke about college. This did not get
any after President Trump terminated the DACA program. However, he always had courage and
fought his way to find his only hope: The Golden Doors Scholarship. He knew that this scholarship
was the key to his future and worked day and night assuring that everything on his application was
perfect. He never gave up. He knew that there were very few options, but never once did he not
think about not going to college. College is his biggest dream and he didn't let anything stop him.

Descriptive Essay About Myself
I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss
who I am in an accurate manner then I must provide some basic background information on
myself and talk about the Environment I grew up in. This way people can get a better
understanding of why I am the way I am. My Background is so essential In making me myself
because If I had been born under any different circumstances or grew up any differently I would be
a different person than I am today. I was born inAberdeen Scotland but raised in Fort Bend County
Texas. Aberdeen and Fort Bend both have great opportunities but differ in many ways. One way in
which they differ is that Fort Bend is very culturally diverse while in Aberdeen most of...show more

Her family communicates to one another using spanish or sometimes english. I have always
grown up in a family that speaks only english so I find it interesting to go over to other people's
houses and hear them communicating in another language. On top of all of this meeting different
people has also opened my mind to new ideas. For example, in school when we work in group
projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work
together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them.
Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic
circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme
gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a
family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities.
One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a
blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other
competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also
helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is
the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents
has signed me up and insisted I

Descriptive Essay On A Computer
I've always loved using computers. Ever since I was 6 years old I could never stop using them
when I got the chance, and this remains true till today. I admit the things that I would do on a
computer weren't exactly productive. I would watch a lot of cartoons and play games. My
parents weren't as enthusiastic about it as I was. They would always tell me to go do something
like read a book or go outside. I almost never follow through with their requests and so I got
grounded often. But to me it was worth it. My parents gave up trying to get me off the computer,
which is why I'm the computer addicted person I am today. When I turned 14 I became a lot
more productive when it came to using a computer. I didn't play educational games or grind on
"Khan Academy" for endless hours. Instead I learned programming languages and created some
things that I was proud of. I've created a website that makes calls to a server in which I post and
request data, a game called "Anvil Dropper", and most recently, an artificially intelligent duck that
helps keep track of who is coming in and out of a facility. All of this sounds like a lot of work but
to me personally, I never saw it as work. It was just simply fun. If you don't know already, sitting
down and being on a computer for about ten hours a day can make you feel really unhealthy. I
noticed that I couldn't do any more than 5 push–ups without taking a break, and just from that I
assumed I was going to die if I didn't get my butt off of

A Descriptive Tour of a Downtown Metropolis and Cozy Home

  • 1. Descriptive Essay Example Descriptive Essay Example We all know college is hard; if it were easy, everyone would have a degree and no one would ever ask for help. But here at Crafton Hills College, tutors are available to help out students in any way, so that those who struggle can do well and be successful. These mentors don't just lecture, they take the time to make sure students understand and comprehend what is being taught. Tutors are at hand for a variety of subjects, some have appointments for one on one time and others are for use at one's convenience. The best part is, students don't have to search for a tutor, or post flyers saying "HELP NEEDED." CHC has a Tutoring Center, completely free, which is easy to find and a...show more content... Besides the Tutoring Center, the library is also very resourceful and entirely useful. It's filled with computers, private rooms, a small auditorium, a copy room and thousands of books (which are found on the top floor of the LRC). Writing tutors will encourage students to visit the library, especially when it comes to research papers. Now, continuing on to the Tutoring Center, a few more steps and you have reached a set of stairs that lead downward. Down these twenty or so steps is the Tutoring Center. After reaching the bottom, there is a small doorway to the left and a sign that says "Welcome to the Tutoring Center!", as a confirmation that one is indeed in the right place. The Tutoring Center is a large rectangle shaped room, with small separate glass enclosed rooms around the edges. The rooms on the left and right are offices of some professors an instructors, while the back wall has some small rooms for study groups and private tutoring lessons, with one very large room painted bright yellow. A front desk is located to the immediate right once entered. Here is where anyone can receive information about the Tutoring Center and view waiting lists for certain subject tutors; flyers and booklets are also free to take. The center of the room has two long tables with twenty computers on both sides for student use, and on each side of those tables are four small square tables with four chairs each for groups or alone work. • 2. Descriptive Essay Example Becca has dark brown, slightly curling hair that has been slowly growing longer since I have met her. She has thick, black glasses that add to her personality. She is about five and a half feet tall and slightly chubby. She has a sense of style that has a pinch of something nerdy about it whether it being one of her purses that she brings with her or it being her whole outfit such as her "Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker" dress that has multiple stained–glass windows from that game. I met Becca when I was in 10th grade when my neighbor was having a small movie watching party. I really didn't talk to her there but during the following year, when she was in 9th grade, our friendship started to grow. We were both on the musical crew for video and ended up learning a lot about her personality. She is a fun, generous, hardworking, caring person who will put others in front of herself about 95% of the time. When I went over to her house one time and she was continuously doing chores as I was there because nothing had been done all week due to her and her mom being busy. Her dad had offered to do some of the chores so that we can hang out for a little bit, but she declined his offer because she "only had a little bit more to do". It was a half an hour later when she had gotten done. About 15 minutes later, she started to get her mom's bag ready for work at eleven o'clock at night along with getting coffee ready for her mother just like she has been doing for the past few weekends. • 3. Descriptive Essay About My Class When my English teacher announced to my class one day that we had to memorize a poem and present it out loud in front everyone I froze. My heart started beating in my chest, as that familiar feeling of panic began churning in my stomach. There was no way I could've done that. I couldn't even remember what I ate for breakfast this morning let alone a whole poem. And I was terrible at public speaking. Or at least, in this school I was. I had transferred to a new middle school in the seventh grade rather than in sixth. My old elementary school went up until sixth grade, so this left me in a school filled with kids who already knew each other. And to make matters worse, I was really shy. I remembered that most of the kids in my class were really loud and outgoing. All of them already belonged to a clique of some sort and I was basically stuck as the new, and extremely quiet, girl. In elementary, I was the total opposite. I was Student Body President, and that required me to make speeches in front of the whole school every week. I used to volunteer for everything, raise my hand for every question and rushed to read every book out loud. But here, it was different. I didn't know anyone, and I wasn't too sure how to make friends because everyone seemed to already found theirs. And to my little 12–year old self, this was a disaster. Even though I had just transferred to a new school, I was familiar with this assignment. In my last school, we used to have a "Poem in My Pocket" day, where we would basically have a physical poem in our pocket and would have to recite it to anyone who asked us to. It wasn't the exact thing, but something similar to what I had to do now. The task was simply, just memorize a poem and recite to the class. The only catch was that the poem had to relate to you in some way or another. It was an easy 100. But for me, this was much more difficult than it seemed. There were so many questions running through my head. For starters, I had no clue what poem I wanted to memorize, or which one represented me. The girl sitting next to me was memorizing Edgar Allan Poe 's Annabel Lee and that poem was about six stanzas long. I felt that everyone around me was doing such a difficult poem that maybe I had Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Three Descriptive Research Methods Essay One of of three methods used for descriptive research is the case study. The case study method is the oldest form of research used in psychology today. To help you better understand what case studies are I would recommend you think of an individual person case. Case study is when someone studies one person to explain things that happen for all of us. Basically applying the outcome to all people ; one representing all. Case studies will describe your behavior. In present day we have noticed that although the individual cases may be accurate, it only applies to that one person. There will always be a conflict of interest because what may happen to one person does not necessarily happen to the next. For example you may say that after...show more content... This type of research gathers information from a large group of people. It will be not go into depth as much as the case study might and involves many cases. As an example think of making you own survey and distributing it out to various amounts of people, gathering the information and conducting you hypothesis. We are constantly asked to participate in surveys whether its an internet advertisement or a class handout from the college you attend. When asking you question you have to be careful as to how you word the question. The words you choose may influence a participant to lean toward a certain side. You may sound biased toward one issue which will effect you survey and hypothesis. Using random sampling allows researcher to have a fair representation of the subjects under study. Every person has an equal chance of participating. I would use this method with very larger groups of people. Ex. school. The last from of research would be naturalistic observation. Basically watching and recording the behavior of different subjects in the natural environment.Much of the reality shows today could be considered a form of naturalistic observation. Pending on how much the program actually interferes with the subject , they allow for an interesting hypothesis. This research will describe the behavior of an subject. Now that we have the information from the research we can evaluate the differences and similarities. When the research reveals that one Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Descriptive Essay Example Descriptive Essay Final The downtown metropolis can be a complex place, and some may need to become accustomed to it. It is Five O' Clock in the afternoon. The sun is starting to drag itself lower, dimming the landscape, leaving a majestic orange on the horizon. The towering structures above leave enormous shadows on the people below. Car horns ring and sirens pulse, as the people make haste towards there destinations, rushing aggressively as if though it is a race. The end of the work day has just began. The craze is unique from anywhere else. An endless flow of people and vehicles seem to liter the area. A man can be seen making his way towards a small parking lot. The parking lot has not been taken care of for some time. Potholes...show more content... Lush, green trees are everywhere. Every house and small business seems to have one or two of them. The car makes it's way down a small street, with old fashioned houses. The car comes to a halt in front of a beautiful tan house. The house feels cozy. The tan painted planks of wood stack up until they reach the charcoal shingles of the rooftop. Two enormous windows are on the front of the house, with fine, white curtains that can be seen hanging from them on the other side. On the left side of a house there is a large chimney, which gives the house a traditional look with it's brown and red bricks. In the front yard of the house there is a smooth, clean concrete walkway to the front door, surrounded by many bushes, and flowers; trimmed perfectly. This house is well kept, and it stands out as a beauty in the neighborhood. The man walks up his paved walkway, and into the house through a large white door, with four small windows on it, and a cross like pattern beneath them. The doors gives of the look as if it is an entryway to heaven. The house is peaceful. Only the birds chirping in the trees can be heard. And as the man enters his house excited children raise there voices, "Daddy Daddy!". This family man is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Descriptive Essay About A Library Every person has their place. The kind of place where the world could be ending but as long as their in that special place, they can leave the world in peace. For some it's their hometown, the gym, a certain cafe or restaurant, or even a random spot with a sentimental meaning. For me, this place is the Edmon Low Library here at Oklahoma State University. As a high school student, the library was a place to check out books and print papers for free. The idea of spending hours there was unheard of, and never spiked an interest in me. Once I started my freshman year in college, this speculation quickly changed. From the first time I toured Oklahoma State University, I wondered why the dazzling Georgian style library was so overwhelmingly huge. It was in the heart of osu near the main campus facilities: the Union, Theta Pond, and various classroom buildings. Being that the library was such a main attraction, I was curious to know why. I wondered why there was a cafe and why each level had a different noise limit. All of these things seemed great, but unnecessary at the same time. After all, the only thing the library was good for in my mind was basic needs for my english class. My first day at osu I decided to see what all the hype about this special library was. The more I explored the different levels, the more I found. Not only were there books, free printing, a cafe, and noise accommodations, but there were also reserved study rooms, 3D printing, subject librarians, free electronic checkouts, and so much more. The resources available to me and all OSU students from just a library seemed almost too good to be true. From the restoring smell of coffee on the first floor, to the antique smell of old books on the 4th floor, nothing makes you want to pull out a good book more than Edmon Low. I was almost convinced the staff wanted students to move in, being that they are opened 24 hours on weekdays. With students being so busy, Edom Low is a convenient place to go no matter the time of day. Whether you're a student coming home from a late night shift not wanting to wake up your roommates to study, or even just need to pull an all nighter for that big test, there is no such thing as being a disturbance at the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a broad place to describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere. Pacific City is small and quiet with a great...show more content... Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless, until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a restaurant. The Oregon Coast will always hold a spot near to my heart. • 8. Descriptive Essay About My Village Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small village located in Shandong province. There are about two thousand people in the village. Small as it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and cool in summer. It's a good place for tourism. The most attractions in the village are the river around my hometown and the green hills opposite the river. On the hills there are large tea plantations and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all kinds of big and smooth cobbles, flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps playing in the water. When spring was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the willows by the river are putting forth a lot of tender branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin branches gently brush the cool and refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the river. Spring is also a season of sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are playing all kinds of games near the river, such as swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on. Summer follows spring. The children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water and make splashes. The sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are mixed together. The birds in the woods are unwilling to be lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The old people sat under the big trees talking about their life Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Descriptive Essay About My First Job My First Job. Or should I say the first instance where I earned a large sum of money for working. It was not that hard only moving a little bit of mulch. But it meant a lot in a different way. I was becoming an adult working hard in return for a few scraps of paper. The paper that makes the world go round. I was earning it through some tough, but short labor. The Work was let's just say cumbersome. It was a warm day in March the sun was blistering hot, heating anything under it like an oven. While a bitter cold breeze blew all the heat away. Except in my case, wearing storm, including wind resistant pants and a shirt that trapped that heat right in. Let's just say I was sweating in a few minutes. I hate my thick Wisconsin blood. The heat would have not been that bad if my face and hands weren't rosy from the chill. The job was tough but I was growing up. I quickly grew calluses on my hands and had dirt in my pores. There were scratches on my arms and pine needles down my neck. I was starting to look like a man. I was starting to become like my dad. Hands callused and skin tough and thick like leather. The palms rough with wear. I was only beginning. Hands soft, muscles strong, but not hardened, built for work. This was only the beginning. Ever hour or so another muscle group would get sore. Before long everything hurt. But I knew it would all be worth it in the end. Every adult worked and I could too, the money was worth it. Soon that was all that filled my mind the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. My College Experience Essay examples My College Experience Throughout my lifetime I have listened to people reflect back on their college experiences and explain how college is supposed to be "the best experience of your life." The summer after my senior year I use to try and imagine what my first semester was going to be like based on what I had heard people talk about in the past. After my first semester at NC State I realized that I couldn't fully understand what college was like until I experienced it for myself. My first couple of weeks at Ohio State was rough and really tested my strength (mental and physical). I faced challenges and obstacles that I had never heard about in those past college experience conversations. All of a sudden there was no one to get me out of...show more content... I can remember missing 8:05 classes because I stayed out too late the night before. In high school the teacher would constantly remind the students when certain assignments were due, but this was not the case in college. I learned that the hard way my first semester. Sometimes I forgot to turn in an assignment because I didn't properly read my syllabus and my professor never mentioned it. These were all new problems that could have easily let escalate without taking the proper actions. For the most part I was doing fairly well but a few of my grades began to plummet. I was losing the confidence in myself and started to wonder if going to college had been the best decision. The time had come for me to grow up and become an adult even I didn't feel the time was right. I immediately began attending tutoring sessions, working with peers and also keeping a daily to–do list. These factors were the eventually led to drastic improvement and success. After my first semester I learned how better manage my time, take advantage of campus resources and also how to organize myself better. These struggles also taught me that sometimes I try and rush through things instead of taking my time. I realized that one of my strong points is being able to really do well when my back is against the wall. Although I was unhappy while facing obstacles I am happy I experienced them. I believe this experience was the reason for my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Examples Of A Descriptive Essay On A Room Contrastive Paragraphs Essay Assingment My dorm room is a rectangular room with beds on the opposite sides. On one side there is room for two closets with long mirrors that are used as doors. Between the two beds on the side opposite the closets are two desks that are covered with papers, water bottles, notebooks and pens. In the midde of the room sits a black flimsy square card table, covered with a stack of dirty plates and a binder. There are posters hung up around the room, a women's division three national championships poster, a periodic table, an american flag, and various photos of friends and family. The walls and ceiling are white and the floor is carpeted, with a matrix of various grey rectangles. There is a central lamp in the middle of the ceiling that illuminates the room and the blinds keep the rest of the light out. My dorm room is my home away from home. The room represents the collection of all the objects I thought important enough to bring with me to college so in a way it is me. Having to limit myself to only taking a certain amount of things from my home forces me to distill my priorities and interests. I have to figure out what my favorite shirts are, my favorite books, what decorations look the best, what color I want my sheets to be. In a way, I am choosing the traits that I want to bring with myself to college. My room is the combination of my chosen traits, building into my college identity. • 12. Reflection On My English 101 Experience Reflecting on My English 101 Experience I used to consider writing as tumble words from your mind, write, read it through, fix minor mistakes, and done. However, you rarely get successful. The truth is many students, including myself, struggle with starting to write a word, or getting stuck in the middle without knowing the main point of the writing. After completing English 101, I can explain the writing process, evaluate the strengths of my essay, and identify my weaknesses. Throughout English 101, I learned that the following the writing process was imperative. Before taking this class, I use to always skip the pre–writing step considering that it is just an easy and unnecessary step. Consequently, I struggled to figure how to start writing, and most importantly I struggled to figure out the main point while writing the draft. And then I finish the first draft close to the deadline that I do not have time to read it not to mention revising. It was after I started this class that learned that pre–writing is vital, and requires time and attention as it holds the base of the whole writing. My professor used different analogies such as blueprint for building and map for navigation to explain the importance. It really speeded up my writing after I started to utilize it. I have learned outlining before, but part of the pre–writing that I was fortunate enough to learning in English 101 is the writing triangle. Even before outlining, the topic, purpose, and audience of the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Essay about My First Time Away From Home "My First Time Away From Home" Leaving to go to college was my very first time away from home, and it took a lot of adjusting to a new surrounding. I didn't have my mom right by my side anymore and I needed to become more independent on doing things on my own. Adjusting to a new city, community, and school was a challenge because I was used to being in my own city, with my old friends, at my old school. I often got homesick and wanted to go home, but I soon adjusted. At first when I originally started taking about getting out of the house, and going to school I didn't realize that it would take so much adjusting. I'm used to having my own room at home, but when I went away to college I had to share a room with a total stranger....show more content... I feel that my mom has spoiled me by doing laundry for me up to now, but I am now independent for having to do it on my own. Moving to Austin was a major change in my life because I had no family or friends here; they were all in San Antonio. My friends and I would walk downtown on the river walk just to have a nice time. It was the hang out, and I just knew that Austin didn't have anything that could compare. I would often get homesick because I missed my family so much. San Antonio is only an hour away from Austin so it was easy for me to make the trip back home. I missed home so much that I have gone back home every single weekend since I have been in college. I had started to get used to being in another city, and away from my family. Actually, I gained new friends in Austin and have heard that 6th street may be just as nice as the river walk in San Antonio. It doesn't hurt to open up to new experiences. It took a while to get adjusted to my new college life, and being away from home but I finally feel comfortable. I have made new friends and enjoyed my freedom, of not having my mom over my shoulder watching every move, but on the other hand I miss her so much that I go home every weekend. This experience has changed me for the better. I am now more independent and don't really need my mom for anything. Now when I call her it can be because I want to hear her voice, and not to ask her if I can wash coloreds in Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Descriptive Essay On Campus Iowa State University offers a large campus. The campus itself entirely is around the size of my hometown. I have lived on campus for a few weeks now, and I know most of the campus, yet spend most of my time in my dorm. Whenever I am not in my dorm or in class though, I often find myself wandering around campus. When wandering around campus I usually look for the best spots for me just in case I want to sit around and relax. Of my favorite spots to visit, they are closer and very appealing to see. They however are also very popular places to visit, so many students visit them. What I mean by closer, is that these places are not too far away from my dorm on campus. I live in the Wilson Hall dormitory, known as one of the Towers, and it is quite far from the main campus. Seeing as I walk everyday to and from the main campus to and from my dorm, I tend to walk the same route, as to shorten the walk time it takes and be familiar with the area. On days I walk to my favorite spot, which is the second concrete bench next to the Campanile, and I just sit there for hours and relax. Wilson Hall's dining hall is called Storms, and is located maybe 80–100 yards North of Wilson. As I leave through the North East exit of Wilson Hall, I cross the diagonal sidewalk running from Wilson to Storm's East Entrance/Exit. I tend to eat supper at Storms, and as I exit through the same entrance, I leave and grab an apple to eat along the way heading to the Campanile. I walk up Welch Street, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Descriptive Essay On A Bag For most college students, carrying some form of bag is a necessity. Depending on the person, they might carry a backpack, purse, messenger bag, tote, or something else. Bags are sometimes a way to express yourself, and sometimes appearance doesn't matter rather the functionality of it. Many people chose their bag of choice based on these ideas. For myself, my choice of bag was due to convenience and I'll explain. The backpack I use currently, I have had since my sophomore year of high school. It is a grey JanSport backpack, that has one large pocket and one small pocket. It has a giant hole in the side from years of use and to put it nicely I am to frugal to buy a new one. Until, the straps breakoff I will probably continue to use it. In high school I chose this backpack based on appearance (Grey, which is my favorite color) and the popularity of the brand. Today, I don't care much about the appearance, as many could gather from the giant hole. I use it because I have it and its still functional. Laptop: My laptop is a necessity for me and that is why I always carry it in my backpack. I'm often on campus most of the day and I use the laptop to work on assignments, quizzes, watch Netflix between classes, or browse the internet. Binder: My binder is a Đ’Đ… inch white organizational tool. I use it to hold hard copies of assignments to prevent damage and blank college ruled paper in case I need a piece for an in–class assignment. • 16. Campus Descriptive Essay West Virginia University has hands down the most gorgeous campus I have ever seen. Every morning I would wake up knowing that I have the privilege of attending a good school with a breathtakingly beautiful campus. I was gradually awoken by the warm rays of sunlight filtering into my room like a gentle wake up call. I got up to look out the window and I saw my fellow classmates walking to class and going about their days. Stretching and yawning I prepare myself for the day. I cannot help but to think that today is going to be a good day. As I stepped outside for the first time I felt the cool breeze gently blowing between the buildings, giving everyone it touches a breath of fresh air. Strolling through campus, I stopped for a minute to admire how the sun was shining down on like a spotlight on all the beautiful blue and gold flowers. The landscapers worked hard planting the flowers of the most royal of blues and the perfect shade of golden yellow. Walking further down the hill I saw the familiar "flying dub v" on every passing persons clothing. Most of my classmates were in a rush to get to class, but I took my time just absorbing my surroundings. A strong breeze carried the scent of freshly cut grass to my nose and embraced me as I continued my journey to class. Passing several students on my way, nodding my head in acknowledgement, a few familiar faces make eye contact and smile. The weather that day was perfect, not too hot, but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Descriptive Essay Example TITLE Hungry At London Heathrow Airport? Head Over To Oriel Brasserie! LEAD PARAGRAPH Pow–wowing in your trainers whilst on the move, luggage in one hand, a handbag in the other and rushing to get to the airport: that's usually me. However, when I arrive to the airport, I usually find myself with ample time and quite frankly I had no need to move so fast! What does one do in such an instance? Well, if you're flying out from London Heathrow Airport's Terminal 3, there is only one place that you should be relaxing in and that's Oriel Grande Brasserie. Owned by the Casual Dining Group which also owns CafГ© Rouge, Bella Italia, La Tasca, Las Inguanas etc., Oriel Grande Brasserie is definitely a special place to be in and in my view, a little bit better than the others in its group. It is located close to the entrance of the terminal and before the check–in desks, so its very easy to spot. PARAGRAPHS A grande Parisian cafe with cool jazz and retro posters It is modelled as an old grand cafГ© in Paris, albeit of course in London and in the airport but this is certainly fitting if you're flying out to Paris and want to enjoy the style beforehand! Oriel Grande Brasserie has a very classy, elegant and modern style with a flair of art deco. It certainly adds a tiny bit of grandeur and sparkle in the airport. Being quite a popular establishment, you may find yourself having to queue but don't be disheartened as the queue is rather short and sweet and you should be seated quickly (and in my view, a few minutes wait is worth it for this place). Unsurprisingly with its Parisian dГ©cor, Oriel Grande Brasserie offers premium French inspired dishes for every meal in the day and it has to be one of the best airport restaurants that I have certainly ever experienced! As you can see from the photograph, its definitely not your usual restaurant in the airport. The closer that you get to it, you louder you will hear the cool jazz music being played in the background and will notice the retro travel posters and photos on the wall. Cute booths within an art–deco style establishment The seating area varies and there are some plush turquoise booths for a group of four and there are some light brown mini booths for solos and couples Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. Descriptive Essay About A Student I have known Victor for four years and can say I know him very well. I've had the pleasure to share classes with Victor throughout high school, work on group presentations and projects, as well as take part in student panel information sessions to Latinx parents and students interested in applying to our school. Freshman year, Victor was a shystudent and would only talk to me about our math homework and the way he understood complex equations. Although he's always been willing to stand out in class as a bright student, it wasn't until Junior year that I noticed him become more outspoken and willing to take social and academic risks. Junior year second semester, we had almost all of our college classes at North Carolina Central university together. I enjoyed working with him because he was great at communicating his ideas and always supported me to go the extra mile in everything we did. We've worked on two short movies for a class together and I admire his patience and detailed–oriented personality. Victor is the bravest person I know. Our first semester of senior year was extremely difficult for him because as much as he wants to go to college, he knew that he couldn't afford it. As a DACA student, there were only a limited number of scholarships he qualified for. On occasions when we had lunch together, he would breakdown in tears when we spoke about college. This did not get any after President Trump terminated the DACA program. However, he always had courage and fought his way to find his only hope: The Golden Doors Scholarship. He knew that this scholarship was the key to his future and worked day and night assuring that everything on his application was perfect. He never gave up. He knew that there were very few options, but never once did he not think about not going to college. College is his biggest dream and he didn't let anything stop him. After submitting his application, he was one of only 50 students to receive this full ride scholarship. Victor's persistence prevailed even when he thought his life was falling apart. It's a characteristic that makes him who he is and the reason I look up to him as a student and human being. Victor is also well outspoken and willing to defend his Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Descriptive Essay About Myself I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss who I am in an accurate manner then I must provide some basic background information on myself and talk about the Environment I grew up in. This way people can get a better understanding of why I am the way I am. My Background is so essential In making me myself because If I had been born under any different circumstances or grew up any differently I would be a different person than I am today. I have always grown up in a family that speaks only english so I find it interesting to go over to other people's houses and hear them communicating in another language. On top of all of this meeting different people has also opened my mind to new ideas. For example, in school when we work in group projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them. Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities. One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents has signed me up and insisted I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. Descriptive Essay On A Computer I've always loved using computers. Ever since I was 6 years old I could never stop using them when I got the chance, and this remains true till today. I admit the things that I would do on a computer weren't exactly productive. I would watch a lot of cartoons and play games. My parents weren't as enthusiastic about it as I was. They would always tell me to go do something like read a book or go outside. I almost never follow through with their requests and so I got grounded often. But to me it was worth it. My parents gave up trying to get me off the computer, which is why I'm the computer addicted person I am today. When I turned 14 I became a lot more productive when it came to using a computer. I didn't play educational games or grind on "Khan Academy" for endless hours. Instead I learned programming languages and created some things that I was proud of. I've created a website that makes calls to a server in which I post and request data, a game called "Anvil Dropper", and most recently, an artificially intelligent duck that helps keep track of who is coming in and out of a facility. All of this sounds like a lot of work but to me personally, I never saw it as work. It was just simply fun. If you don't know already, sitting down and being on a computer for about ten hours a day can make you feel really unhealthy. I noticed that I couldn't do any more than 5 push–ups without taking a break, and just from that I assumed I was going to die if I didn't get my butt off of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
