Q. Do I need to be an MCT to teach MOC?
A. No, this is not required if you are an IT Academy. However, as an IT Academy you do get a FREE MCT membership worth
£279pa which gives you access to +18,000 MCT’s globally to support you.
Q. Does it cost to become a testing centre?
A. No, there is no cost to become a Prometric testing centre. You can even offer your facilities for public testing and gain a
small fee.
Q. Can ITA benefits be used by others?
A. Yes, all benefits in IT Academy are open to students faculty and staff to support curriculum as well as staff training. Even
your IT staff can take advantage of the benefits for their own training.
Q. Do I have to pay for MCP and MOC?
A. No, you can ask students to cover the cost of the additional courses, given the low cost through IT Academy. You may
choose to split the cost 50:50 to support them in gaining additional skills or even absorb the costs through the higher
tuition fees as you look to update your courses for next academic year.
Q. Do I have to buy all suggested MOC?
A. No, there are multiple MOC courses suggested to support some MCP exams, some students may only need the core
MOC and E-Learning.
Q. Why are the MCP codes ‘073’, not ‘070’?
A. 073 is the IT Academy code for MCP exams, which are the cheapest route. 072 is codes that students would use when
they buy direct, the individual price for these is £54.63.
