2. Copyright
• Copyright is key in research freshness
• When doing research relevant information is
important and updated.
• Copyright is found at the bottom of most
webpages.

3. No Copyright
• If there is no copyright there are different ways to
find out when the information was last updated.
• Depending on what browser is being used,
different techniques will need to be utilized to
find the most recent information.
• Some sites have multiple dates on them
– Newspaper sites
– Journals
• Make sure to look over the entire page before
saying there is not a date

4. Firefox
• When on the desired page, right click on your
mouse
• Scroll down to page info
• Click page info
• A window will pop-up giving you when it was
last updated
• Very user friendly

5. Chrome/Explorer
• When using Chrome or Explorer there are
more steps to take.
• It still is easy, but when using these browsers
you will need to use Javascript

6. Chrome/Explorer Cont.
• Copy this link
javascript:alert(document.lastModified)
• Put this link into the address bar and hit enter
• A small window will come up that will show
when the page was last updated.

7. Copyright
• Copyrights are very useful when conducting
research
• Firefox is the easiest browser to user, just right
click
• Chrome and Explorer are easy, but just
remember to use javascript in the toolbar
