2. The problem statement is:
Between the transporters of Di-Gutier and their employers,
they need to find a better way to coordinate, control and
communicate the information regarding the monthly
performance of the transporters, because the continuous
mistakes and uncertainty in the monthly incomes are
weakening the relationship, already mistrusting each other.
3. 1. Each employee and employer registration must be signed by
both parties: It is important to have a way to check the
quantities transported by both parties, employees and
employers. Using this tool, they can avoid differences
between each of the parties, and by signing the record, they
are accepting the information that it contains. It’s essential to
generate a copy of this record for the employer and another
for the employee, so that each has the historical support
available in the case of discrepancies.
4. Given the context of the company (small business), the
elements of this prototype are:
To design the document:
• You must design a document easy to fill and to be considered as valid
by both parties (employee and employer).
Save the document:
• Provide a way to archive documents in order to have a backup of
them.
5.
6.
7. 2. Write down on a notebook the transportation dates,
payload and price that should be paid for this service: Is
important to have this information, because they are the
basis of the business and the way that transporters receive
their payment. Perhaps this is one of the most basic ways to
keep track of the work that each transporter performs, but it
is developed in order and systematically, they can generate
an effective mechanism for monitoring of the quantities and
amount transported.
8. Given the context of the company (small business), the
elements of this prototype are:
Define how to register the information:
• Establish standards how to write the registration of tons carried and
the prices associated to the service.
Establish the format for registration:
• Achieving design an easy and efficient way to register the appropriate
information.
9.
10. 1. In order to do the present assignment, for each of the prototypes,
I consulted the same people involved in the "Empathize and
Define“ assignment .
2. Their opinion was that the prototypes are useful and feasible to
implement. And they considered them as an initial tool to help
improve and resolve the problem.
3. It should be necessary to have the documentation associated to
each prototype, to generate the main guidelines and directions to
implement it by the current and next employees so they will be
able to use them rightly.
4. The view of stakeholders is that prototypes are valuable, they are
simple but extremely useful tools to solve the defined problem.
Represent an appropriate solution that does not require much
time.
11. 1. Within the allocations made, it was possible to develop a real
solution to a problem that we have identified in a company, and
learned new tools and techniques, such as the empathy map.
2. The identification of different ideas and the development of two
prototypes have been able to generate two solutions that are
complementary and both can be implemented in the reality.
3. The next steps are to present the prototypes to all the
transporters in the Port and to seek the chance to really
implement the idea.
