How PDHPE Builds Skills for Life
1.
2. PDHPE allows students to interact with others
while working together to achieve goals,
playing games and in communicating in
general.
3. PDHPE invites children to ask for help and
advice when they are faced with problems
they encounter. Instead of trying to resolve
issues individually, students are taught to be
confident in asking for other peoples opinion
and help.
4. PDHPE teaches students to become aware of
what are safe and unsafe situations.
Furthermore, students are taught what they
can do in unsafe situations and who to
depend on for safety.
5. PDHPE teaches children the basic movement
skills that can be carried out in any aspect of
their lives. Elements such as moving,
stopping, kicking, rolling and skipping are
demonstrated and practiced in lessons.
