themselves across snow-covered terrain using skis and poles. The activity is popular in many

4. Me and Cross-Country skiing
• Skied for the first time as a 2 year old.
• Participated in competitions from an age of 6.

In terms of Lars’ personality, he has always struck me
as someone who is extremely disciplined, in and
outside of work. Whether its working hard to meet a
deadline, or getting to the gym every morning, Lars
strives for personal excellence.

6. Cross-Country and my development - Challenges
Certain characteristics with Cross-Country skiing may have challenging effects
in personal and professional life, like;
• Being to determined/competitive.
• Being to individualistic.
• Being to rational.
In the beginning of my career I had situations where I was facing challenges
with the above mentioned points, but learned quickly by working with
different type of people to channel my energy in the right direction
In Lars I have gotten to know a person that enables
people around him to perform in a great way and with
his personality it is always extremely comfortable bing
in the same team as Lars

7. Example of my interest and dedication
• 28th October I had a training accident on
roller-skis
• Result:
– 2*fractured jaw.
– 8 teeth damaged.
– 1 week in hospital and 4 weeks of sick
leave.
– 2 weeks of locked jaw.
– Numerous amount of different type of
treatments
• Then, what next?
– I decided that this would not stop me
from reaching my goal.
Participate in the world biggest ski race, Vasaloppet, in March 2013 (15.000 participants)
Goal:

• I participated in 3 races in Austria, Switzerland and
France, leading up to Vasaloppet
• After 90km in 4h52min, I ended up at place 546 out
of approximately 15.000 participants
• Result: www.vasaloppet.se
