I am currently in my second year at Newcastle University studying Exercise Biomedicine and am
seeking a Placement or some valuable work experience. I am a mature, punctual, reliable and
hardworking individual. Throughout my educational life I have always been interested in
sport/science based subjects. Whilst undertaking this degree at Newcastle University I have
been especially interested in the Anatomy, Sports Psychology and Exercise Nutrition modules,
as well as the Pharmacology module. I am hoping to one day qualify to be an Osteopath and
work in the private sector. Starting the year of 2017 I will be studying Exercise Physiology as
well as Biomechanics which I am severely looking forward to.
Transferable Skills:
• Organised: I am highly organised with superb planning skills as I always deliver essays
and assignments in on time.
• Communication: My communication levels are of a high standard, I have previously been
in jobs such as a bar maid/ waitress which require good communication.
• Team Work: During my course I have required excellent team working skills as I have
had to work in numerous laboratory experiments with a partner.
• Leadership: I have previously acquired the UK level 2 award in Sports Leadership as
well as being a peer mentor which both required high levels of leadership.
• Presentation: During my degree I have had to produce presentations both in groups and
individually, I feel I am a confident public speaker and rather enjoy presenting my work.

2. Jan 2011-May 2014 Exercising Ponies and Riding Instruction
Over the last couple of years, I have taught several young children to ride, gaining confidence from
parents and children alike. Successfully schooled and trained ponies for other people. Having owned
ponies all my life I am constantly updating my skills and having regular personal training lessons. I
use my developing skills to help school ponies, enabling their smaller, less confident rider to enjoy
them safely.
