The television in the living room, the newspaper on the doorstep, the radio in the
car, the computer at work and the fliers in the mailbox are just a few of the media
channels daily
delivering advertisements, news, opinion, music and other forms of mass communication.
5. We all know the stereotypes—the femme fatale, the supermom, the sex
kitten, the nasty corporate climber. Whatever the role, television, film and
popular magazines are full of images of women and girls who are typically
white, desperately thin, and made up to the hilt.
