Gonzo the English
Speaking Sheep
“I grant you Gonzo,” the gigantic man in white robe said, “ the power to speak
english” The mysterious giant had always haunted him in his dream.
“Thank you my lord” he had answered.
“Wake up Gonzo” Gonzo’s mother jerked the little sheep awake.
“Awww” groaned Gonzo.
Gonzo’s mother leaned over him worriedly “Hey! are you ok? you are speak-
ing another language”.
“I’m ok mom, just having the same bad dream” said Gonzo soothingly. He
trotted slowly out to the calm clean air. He is worried about his first day at school.
He walked slowly towards his school. Alone. No mother.No father. Alone. Be-
fore he is even at school he met Nefarious. “Hey! look who’s here.” Nefarious the
infamous head of all gangsters in the village said smiling wickedly. “The crazy
sheep who speak the gibberish instead of our own sheeplish”. Gonzo shivered
“Do----Don---Don’t hurt me”. He knew the gang’s record of 300 different person
got thrown head first in the trash and Gonzo is terrified by it. But no one get’s
away from the gang without a swim in the trash can. As a conclusion, the first stu-
dents he met in the school had gave him the “ritual” welcome swim in the trash
can.“ I surely will be happier in school, no one will bully me at school.” Gonzo
thought.
If only it is true. He was greeted by the principal at the door with the words:
“office now”. A while later he is trudging towards the principal's office via the stair-

3. case. He was almost cheerful two hour ago speaking to the mysterious giant in his
dream, now he is sitting in the principal's office listening to the principal scornful
scolding. He can not keep up with what the principal is saying. The principal was
speaking so fast that Gonzo thought that the principal is practicing saying blah as
fast as possible. Eventually the principal slowed down enough to let Gonzo hear
what she said. “You must know that your father named you Gonzo for reasons!
Gonzo means crazy which is what you've been showing since you were born.”
Then speed up to an ununderstandable speed.
Walking to his first class he started mumble english. “I ------- hate ------
School” he can barely make out these words. He kept practising again and again.
He wonder where in the clouds did it happen. “ I like fur” Gonzo had practiced
these word very very often. He don’t care about any other things, he is determined
to learn this language simply because he think it is the right thing to do.
“ Hey wimp” laughed Nefarious pushing him to the ground. He scrambled up
and into his class. It is sheeplish class, the teacher is Mr.Heckle. He gave a big
groan: “ Do you have to come to my class? You skipped Math, Science, Social
Studies and Art class. Do you really have to come here? Now grab a seat before I
decide to throw you in the hallway for the rest of the class.”
“What did I do to make Mr.Heckle hate me?” He wondered as he went down
rows of desks. All the chairs have a sign that read: NOT FOR GIBBERISH
SPEAKING SHEEP. Except for one. Disgusting, filthy was the first words when
he saw the desk. It had a sign said: FOR GIBBERISH SPEAKING SHEEP.
He sat down trying not to notice the chewing gums under his desk. He also no-
ticed that only he has them.Then he felt a surge of anger inside him when he no-
ticed there is a few more empty desks. His hand shot up into the air. “ Yes, Gonzo
the mighty gibberish speaking sheep?” Mr. Heckle asked sarcastically. Accompa-
nied by a giggles from Nefarious and his gang. “ I want to change my seat!” Gonzo
shouted.
The noise in the class died down. Mr.Heckle reared back as if he crashed into
a wall while he is going 30 kilometer per second. But probably because he is heav-
ily built he recovered in two seconds “NO!” he roared back. Gonzo’s rage is re-

4. placed with fear and started stammering “o-o-o-o-ok”. “Then get out to the hall-
way for shouting at me!” Mr.Heckle roared so loud that the windows almost shat-
tered.
After a bad time attending sheeplish class, he got thrown out of rest of the
classes for just being him, for being able to speak the so called gibberish.He had
met some other sheeps outside too. They had brought them chair and desk out for
them to sit and a laptop for him to be occupied. When he ask his teacher for it his
teacher made up lame excuses so that he don’t get to have it.
Mr.Benign’s Social Studies class. When he went in his class he is unhappy. He
just thought that he is just going to spend the rest of the time outside. Mr.Benign
didn’t make him go out when he accidentally spelled Benjamin Franklin wrong.(
Note that other teacher will throw him out the hallway for things like that.The
worst part is they allow others to stay inside even if they stood on the desk and
smash their book on the floor.)
Mr.Benign had ask Gonzo too stay back after class. “Did you make up the lan-
guage you kept saying?”asked Mr.Benign in a very polite and firm.
“no” Gonzo answered
“Where did it come from?” Mr.Benign ask in a tone that is full of politeness
and some curiosity
“It just pop up in my head” Gonzo said.
Mr.Benign hesitated. “ I have gave up on speaking english. Is he the next sheep
God used? I had failed him” He thought frantically “ He dreams about the giant
too!
Gonzo had been so sad that he didn’t notice when the gang started say bad
things about him in his face. He was doing the one thing he can do but no one else
knows how to do: to practice speaking english. He started to mumble words slowly.
These word are new, it just came to him with the meanings, spelling and pronun-
ciation. Sad. Hate. Angry. Strong. Was the words that came to him that time. He
kept mumbling them over and over again.

5. He did not notice Nefarious and his gang until they threw a rock at him.
“What is the stupid language you are mumbling?” asked Nefarious mockingly.
“I-it is non of your business” stammered Gonzo trying to sound brave but his
mouth didn’t allow him to stop the stammering. He was scared so scared he
turned around and ran he ran until he’s at his house but he don’t want to go home
he want to be alone.
He suddenly remembered the little fishing pond he stumbled upon a few
month earlier when he is young. Every sheep is so immature that nobody cares
when they hear him practice english. Nor did he think that it is weird that he al-
ways got picked on by the adults that is only one year bigger than them. He is
three years old only and he started to think back and hoping he can go back and
play with the other kids. How can he face being an adult two years later if every-
one hate him about what he did.
He trudged home unhappily. He had never ever really look at his house com-
paring too the others. He had never notice that his house is the worst one in the
whole village. The ceilings made out of wood stacks on the frame. He didn’t feel
the usual comfort inside either. He finally noticed that his bad is nearer too the in-
side where more wood are stacked. not like his mother’s still wet from the drip drip
on the roof. He suddenly noticed how cruel the world is. He said his mom “At
school the teachers and student teased me because of the other language I speak.”
His mom’s reply is quick “ I understand what you are feeling. I knew that some-
day you will want to leave. So I made a decision. So pack your bag and we’ll go
and search for a new clan.” They packed every possession of theirs and started to
search for a new clan.
The journey to find a new clan is tiring. They do have plenty of grass to eat
but wolfs and tiger terrifies them. They do not dare to sleep at once. One took
watch and the other slept. The one who took watch will wake the other one up
with even the faintest rustle. Then as the journey continues the more tired they be-
came. A recipe for disaster slowly build up. Two tired sheep and dangerous sur-
roundings.

6. The way this recipe worked is when Gonzo fell asleep during his watch and a
car zoomed out of a bush. The car almost ran over them but managed to stop in
front of the sheeps it. “Troublesome sheeps.” the man driving the car muttered
angrily preparing to start the car again to ram over the sheeps. “Wait” cried an-
other man beside the driver. “Let’s bring the sheeps to our barn!” “ That’s surpris-
ing!” exclaimed the driver “how can a dumb person like you think of a good idea?
Now go bring it in.” The person beside the driver came off the car. His heavy foot-
steps echo through the surroundings. It woke up the sheeps but before the sheep
can run they are snatched up by the man.
When the sheep is inside the car they drove to the people’s barn. They was set
free in the fenced area. The mother sheep and Gonzo was terrified they run and
run until they eventually stumbled upon a village that look deserted. Suddenly as
if out of nowhere a sheep came bouncing out from a nearby cave shouting “no
dogs! coast clear! come out!”. “What? What are you talking about?” the mother
and son wondered aloud. “The dogs, they chase as towards the gate and make the
people will capture us and cut of all our fur.” explained the sheep while a fifty or
so sheeps came out the cave.
From then on Gonzo never speak english again he wasn’t a target of the bullies
any more. All because no one have anything to pick him on. Except from you me
Gonzo and his mother no one knows that he knows how to speak english, actually
one more, God. He was very upset that the chosen sheep did not do what he is sup-
posed to. Then again no sheep had succeeded. It seemed like the world should
stay the way it is.
