5. WHAT TO DO IN KETCHIKAN ALASKA
My kids and I both love being outside.
We will venture to the fish hatchery.
Spend part of the morning exploring
nature and watch the fish try and make
their way up the creek. Deer Park adjoins
an eagle preserve to enjoy as well.
As soon as you get off the boat
there are several little shops and
places to visit. It will be fun to look
around and maybe pick up a
souvenir.
6. OUR TIME IN JUNEAU
• Downtown Juneau
• I am excited to go take the trams with the kids to view the
cultural and beauty of Alaska.
• Taking the tram to the top of Mount Roberts will offer amazing
views and once to the top there are different activities for us to
enjoy. I will be checking out the Juneau Raptor Center which
rescues and works with injured or sick birds. They give tours
and also teach about conservation. If time permits I hope to
explore the hiking trails as well.
7. SKAGWAY ALASKA
• In Skagway we will visit the museum and learn about the
culture and history of Alaska.
• We will walk around the town and go into different shops.
• Yakutania Point and Smugglers Cove are both a short easy
hikes from downtown
8. SAFETY TIP’S

Do not go off trail if you decide to do a hike.

9. CURRENCY EXCHANGE
• There is a short amount of time spent in Vancouver as well.
The currency exchange is as follows.
• On 18 November 2014, 1.00 Canadian Dollar(s) = 0.88 U.S.
dollar(s), at an exchange rate of 0.8846 (using nominal rate).
• However, we plan on staying on board during this time and
enjoying swimming in one of the indoor pools onboard.
10. PROPER DOCUMENTATION
• It is a must that you have your passport with you, and I would
suggest also bring your driver’s license as a form of
identification as well. The children and I all have our passports.
So we are good to go!
