2. Introduction
Kevin Waida is a pursuing a master’s degree in
business administration at Colorado State
University. His projected graduation date is in
2017. Outside his studies, he provides support for
the UKirk Ministries’ financial planning program.
UKirk is the Presbyterian Church’s collegiate
ministries network. Established in 2012, UKirk
essentially took the place of the Presbyterian
Association for Collegiate and Higher Education
Ministries. It furthers the church’s mission through
educational outreach and with a bi-annual
national conference.
3. UKirk's Collegiate Program
UKirk supports collegiate ministries by promoting
best practices and sharing resources. This effort
in turn provides support for the Presbyterian
Church by helping ministries at colleges and
universities interpret their missions as they relate
to the church.
For those looking to start campus Presbyterian
student groups, UKirk offers informational support
on its website, UKirk.org. Prospective members
can visit the resources tab to read about the
process, challenges, and responsibilities involved
in establishing one of these groups.
