Story of my life chapter 15 (1)
1.
2. After the controversies about the Frost King settled, Helen
spent the following summer and winter at her house in
Alabama. After being back at home, the Frost King episode
slowly started fading from her mind. But, Helen couldn’t
write anymore. This was because she was scared that
people would discover that the ideas were not her own
and the controversies may arise again.
3. To help Helen resume writing, Helen’s teacher
Anne Sullivan encouraged her. Due to Miss
Sullivan’s encouragement and support, Helen at
the age of 12, wrote a brief part of her life as an
autobiography in a magazine called Youth's
Companion.
4. In 1893, Helen went to Washington, Niagara Falls and
the World Fair at Chicago. Helen was deeply
impressed by the majesty of the Niagara Falls. At the
World’s Fair, she got an opportunity to experience all
the things that she had only read about. She travelled
on a Viking ship. She also explored a model of Santa
Maria. Dr. Alexander Graham Bell explained many of
the exhibits to Helen.
