2. “TROUBLEMAKER” CAMERA
ANGLES/SHOT
• The first shot we see is two mid shots of two
blokes in casual clothing, but we don’t know
what relevance they have within the music
video
• Then 18 seconds into the music video we then
see another mid shot with the song title
“Troublemaker” and then a female next to her
showing that the music video will mostly be
focused on her, and about her
• We also quite a few close-up and mid shots of
Olly this is so the artist (Olly) gets more
promotion when the camera is just focusing on
him
3. EDITING
• Olly Murs is representing himself in the
music video by that features the whole way
through the music video, this quite a typical
pop song by having the artist represent
themselves
• It is following a narrative by that the music
video fits in well with the song lyrics, by that
the song is called “Troublemaker” and they
have a troublemaker in the music video,
which is the female, for example when they
are in the café she gets slapped on the bum,
but she didn’t like it so she got a jug of
water and spilt that down him.
4. LYRICS AND VISUAL
• When FloRida says “you ain’t nothing but
a trouble make girl” they do a cut to the
beat well by that they show FloRida at the
beginning of him singing then change the
shot by showing the female, representing
that she is nothing but trouble
• Olly then sings “I was studying your
hands” and in the music video he is
singing it but as well he is showing his
hand
5. MISE-EN-SCENE
• The setting of the music video is in a café, in which
there are a couple of negative people in, we then
see the artist (Olly Murs) be the gentlemen and
quite stereotypical from the upper class and be
being gentlemanly but a little cheeky at the same
time, but knowing when something shouldn’t
happen
• Record and book shop, this is representing that he
is well educated, and even the girl he has an
interest is educated well
• There is also a feature of where they are at a
nightclub they predominately young, which is
representing a typical England nightclub.
• At the beginning of the music video we see Olly
wearing is quite typical upper-class clothing by that
he is wearing a blazer, shirt, trousers matching the
blazer and shoes, looking very presentable, and
caring about his appearance.
6. ELLA EYRE CAMERA ANGLES/ SHOTS
• The first shot that we see is what looks
like a never ending road that is quite
small, and trees surrounding, with a van,
this is showing that anything could
happen, like waiting for the unexpected
• We then have a mid shot of Ella Eyre
looking rather bored blowing bubbles
with the bubble-gum, this is all focus on
her and what she is doing
• We also have a point of view shot by
seeing Ella’s perspective of her sitting in
a shopping trolley, then progresses into
a wide shot, representing that she is fun
and enjoys life even if she was stuck at
work
• We also have a wide shot of Ella in a
shopping trolley with her friends
enjoying her self, and having a different
perspective on her life.
7. EDITING
• Ella Eyre represents herself in the music
video, by she is in the majority of the shots,
showing that she is fun and enjoys what
she does.
• This song follows more of an narrative than
anything else, by that it shows Ella
enjoying herself by that she says together
in her song and showing her group of
friends altogether enjoying themselves.
8. LYRICS AND VISUALS
• “We are more together” Ella is with her
friends when this she says that sentence she
is with a group of friends, showing that they
are better off being together, than alone
• “It’s not about you” there is a close-up shot
of Ella, while singing that sentence she
points at you, showing what she is saying.
9. MISE-EN-SCENE
• The first scene we see Ella in is her sat at a
checkout in a store bored, it looks quite a
negative setting by while Ella is still in the
store but one of the male workers, that
seems to check up on her and see what she
is doing.
• Near the end of the music video we see that
Ella’s group it at the beach enjoying
themselves, out in the nature, also sitting
down on the sand looking out to the sea.
This is representing nature, that they are
natural and innocent.
