263% increase in appearances
Student-athletes made 145 appearances in Madison community
198% increase in appearance requests
179 requests received for a student-athlete(s) appearance
79% increase in hours volunteered by UW student-athletes
UW student-athletes volunteered more than 4,185 hours
450% increase in publicity of outreach efforts

First Year Challenges:
Lack of cohesion
•Too much variety in appearances, difficult to tell cohesive outreach
story
Not enough appearances to fill student-athlete demand
Appearances did not align with student-athletes’ schedules

Education:
The Badgers are committed to promoting learning and academic achievement amongst the
students of Wisconsin, with an emphasis on literacy.

We are committed to developing the next generation of leaders by supporting programs
that foster the development of character and life-skills.
Helping Hand:
We strive to provide experiences for children and families that provide and strength and
joy in a time of crisis or illness.
Health & Wellness:
UW Athletics supports any effort that encourages physical fitness and nutrition.

Student-Athlete Involvement:
Student-athletes are notified of upcoming volunteer
opportunities WEEKLY via email.
To sign up, they simply click on link under the appearance
information and input their name and sport
