1. RAGHU RAM TAKES THE “ROAD” TO NIMCJ

It turned out the most “attitude” day for the students of NIMCJ
the cult Raghu Ram visited them to give a lecture on “the reality shows in
India” followed by an interactive and humorous session with 40 students.
What started with a basic knowledge about the actual format of reality
television in India then transformed into a utter business model and
strategies for the channels which run through the currencies of “TRP”
(television rating points). While he added that the figures are not much
reliable as the sampling for the rating is very low but hen too the whole
industry works on it.
When the question popped about the format of Roadies where a lot of
abusive language is used , a subtle explanation came as it feels more real.
He started and ended on the same note as the defined reality shows to be
working as with the real people in perceived real situation and with real
emotions.
The faculty students had a real taste of the shortcut to hell in a technical
way!
