1. VERB OBJECT TO INFINITIVE+ +
Many verbs in English follow the structure : verb + object + to infinitive!
Pay attention to the following examples:
The teacher told me to sit down.
(verb- TOLD, object – ME, to infinitive- TO SIT)
He warned us not to speak.
(verb- WARNED, object –US, to infinitive – NOT TO SPEAK)
You may have noticed all the sentences have a
'verb + object + to infinitive' structure.
