Five Stages of Standard Diffusion Model The diffusion process is the communication theory for adopting or rejecting ideas, products, or innovation.
Sociologists of the 1950s developed a standard diffusion model that had five different stages. The stages are awareness, interest, evaluation, trial, and
adoption. In the awareness stage, an individual is introduced to a new idea, procedure, or product with known knowledge about it. Following the
awareness stage is the interest stage which is also referred to as the information stage. In this stage, an individual starts becoming familiar and
interested in the new idea, procedure, or product while actively searching for more information regarding it. Thirdly is the evaluation stage where
the individual determines the value of the idea, procedure, or product in an attempt of determining whether it is good. The trial stage is next where
the person tries out the idea, procedure, or product. Lastly is the adoption stage in which the individual determines that the idea, procedure, or
product is overall positive (Moore, Bagin, & Gallagher, p. 74, 2016). These five stages were highly critique by Lionberger and Rogers, because they
believed this five stage process did not follow a linear sequence. Everett Rogers later renamed the five stages because of the great impacts the social

A culture is a set of characteristics of a particular group of people. It emcopasses language, social aspect, such as relegion, cuisine, social habits,,
music, and arts. I considered my culture to be Cape Verdean. I was born and raised in Cape Verde until I was fourteen. My country was colonized by

One of the most common clothing I would buy, at the time, were crop tops. My parents hated when I bought crop tops and would wear them

My Favorite Love
If I'm ever asked about something that is time–consuming for me, I'd always say the same thing. Anyone that knows me would say football. But
football hasn't always been my favorite thing. When I came from Cape Verde in 2008 I wasn't a fan of sports. I always liked moving around but
not for sports related things. But if ever asked about my favorite sport I would've said soccer because it was the only thing that I knew that didn't

Although colonial powers may have claimed they were trying to modernize or help, in reality their actions were solely to facilitate their own
interests. Settler colonialism, by nature, is a genocidal and dangerous ideology. The ideas of colonists typically lead to the destruction of the land
and the people of the land that was being colonized. This is evident in the Americas, Australia, India, and especially in Africa. Colonialism, in its

independence. When looking at the country, it is evident that the colonial government, including leaders as well as the grievances the country had to

In West Africa they stayed in the forts or factories on the coast and the raiding was done by Africans often from forest states like Oyo, Benin,
Dahomey and Asante. The European forts changed hands many times in the course of three hundred years, but the principal ones stayed in
business under whatever countries owned them. The slaves were captured in tribal wars or raided on villages. Boys and men between the ages of
sixteen and forty were sought; especially those are the younger end of this scale. Old people, women and children, if not killed in the raid, were

2.0 CONCEPTUAL CLASSIFICATION
The porosity of the borders of most ECOWAS countries has led to the mammoth rise in the rate of cross border crimes, ranging from drug trafficking,
human trafficking, tax evasion to money laundering. This rise has not only expanded, but has multiplied these crimes to a more sophisticated type with
a crippling effect on the local economy and international relations of these countries.
These increase can be linked to the ready ease with which humans and goods could travel between these ECOWAS countries, whilst the developments
in technology has further facilitated the transfer of the proceeds from such criminal activities in ways hitherto unknown, this led to the swift rate at
which money laundering amongst these countries developed5. Other economic and financial crimes, for example, drug trafficking and human
trafficking also grew in limps and bounds, thus contributing to the growth in the incidence of money laundering and financial terrorism.
By reason of the fact that the global agenda to curb financial crimes calls for cooperative approach among countries in addressing these challenges,
introducing a number of international legislations on money laundering and financial terrorism became a necessity. The treaties includes; the United
