CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION

The internet is a worldwide network system that connects a diverse set of commercial, public,
business, academic, and government networks to enable global communication and access to
data resources. The terms “Internet” and “World Wide Web” are frequently used
interchangeably, although they are not synonymous; whilst the internet refers to the worldwide
communication system, which includes hardware and infrastructure, the web is just one of the
services provided through the internet (Techopedia, 2020)
The turn of the 21st century brought a new chapter in internet history with the proliferation of
mobile devices. The rise of smartphones and tablets unleashed unprecedented connectivity and
allowed people around the world to access the internet from anywhere with an internet
connection. Mobile applications, social media platforms, and streaming devices transformed the
way people consumed information, shared content, communicated, did their jobs, and shopped.

Conceptual Framework
Computers have become an essential part of modern lives. Computers have replaced books as large amounts of information
and knowledge is widely available via the internet. The present generation (generation Z) is completely dependent on these
systems for their educational purposes. Schools, institutes, and universities are dependent on computers to store the
information, record, and progress of students. Computer-based learning has been introduced in schools. Educational
organizations have also introduced computers as a subject to educate students about emerging technology.
None of us can ever forget the lockdown period when Covid cases were rising rapidly, we were locked in our houses and no
sector was working except the medical sector. During these times when we understood the importance of computers in our life
because these systems helped us to connect not only to our loved ones but also to our colleagues and to continue working with
the help of our systems. The lockdown period showed the importance of these

The qualitative and quantitative design using questionnaire was
ask in this study. A total of 100 students to measure the research
questionnaire.
To get the reason using the internet of the high school students

The questionnaire personal distributed to the students who
were given enough time to answer it.
