Eligibility Requirements
If you have less than a bachelor’s degree
You don’t need a bachelor’s degree to be eligible for SHRM certifications, but your academic background will still play a role in determining your
required professional experience. First up let’s explore your position if you have an HR-related* degree – this could be, for example, an associate degree
in HR management, administration, or something similar. If this is the case you’ll need to have three years of experience in an HR role to qualify for the
CP, or six years of experience in an HR role for the CSP. If your qualification is not HR-related, you’ll need four years of HR experience for the CP, and
seven years of HR experience for the CSP.
If you have a bachelor’s degree
If your degree is HR-related, you’ll need one year in an HR role for the CP, or four years in an HR role for the SCP. If your degree is not HR-related,
you’ll need two years in an HR role for the CP, or five years in an HR role for the SCP.
If you have a graduate degree
With an HR-related master’s degree under your belt, you can be eligible for the CP if you’re currently in an HR role. For the SCP you’ll need three years
in an HR role on top of your HR-related master’s. If you have a non HR-related degree, you’ll need one year of HR experience for the CP, and four years
in an HR role for the SCP.
For all of the above you’ll need to show that you’ve worked more than 1,000 hours in any calendar year for it to equal one year of
experience.

installations with prior knowledge of HVAC operation will benefit from this training module.
This training will include selection of HVAC system for a building, load calculation using software, preparing inputs for ducting and piping layouts.
Different software tools will also be introduced that will come in handy during design and sizing of equipments. Also compliance to Regional codes of
the respective Regulatory Bodies (like MEW and KFD for Kuwait) will be discussed. International codes like ASHRAE will be used during training to
comply with minimum fresh air requirements.
A sample building will be introduced to gain hands-on experience. The building will include a basement car park, office space, retails, kitchen,
Atrium, stair wells, lift-wells etc. After completing this module, participants will be able to design HVAC system for a medium to large scale building
Participants are expected to have good understanding of psychrometric, if not, it is recommended to take our HVAC Basics training before
proceeding to the advance module.
Participants to bring their own laptop with AutoCAD and will be provided with guidance to install the load calculation software and tools required
for the training. At the end of the course a participation certificate will be issued upon successful completion of design for the sample building.
