2. Two years
• Joseph is in prison not knowing if butler
followed through!
• He doesn’t know if Pharaoh turned him
down.
• He is in a place where he does not want to
be and is uncertain as to how or if the
message went over!

3. Can you relate?
• Ever put in a prayer request and not get an
answer?
• Ever keep praying for something wanting it to
happen now?
• Ever start to lose faith in prayer and wonder if
the prayer is falling on deaf ears?
• Do you sometimes take matters into your own
hands and not even pray about it?

4. Pharaoh dream! (vs. 2-8)
• Who gave him this dream or allowed him to
have it? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . GOD
• Romans 8:28 And we know that all things
work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his
purpose.
• Daniel 5:21…. the most high God ruled in the
kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over
it whomsoever He will.

6. Remember the rich man and
Lazarus?
• Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son,
remember that you in your lifetime
received your good things, and likewise
Lazarus evil things: but now he is
comforted, and you are tormented.
• Don’t remember when it is too late!

7. 7 years of plenty

8. Treasure the good times
• Genesis 41:35-36 And let them gather all the
food of those good years that comethose good years that come, and lay
up grain under the hand of Pharaoh, and let
them keep food in the cities.
• And that food shall be for store to the land
against the seven years of famine, which
shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land
perish not through the famine.

9. Treasure the good times
• Family reunion
• Marriages
• Children
• Brothers
• Sisters
• Fellowships
• School
• The Christian journey

11. When famine comes
Go to your spiritual storehouse!
• Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of a good
courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for
the LORD your God, He it is that does go with
you; He will not fail you, nor forsake you.
• Genesis 18:14 Is anything too hard for the
LORD?....
• Luke 12:24-28. . Turn with me please

• Manasseh=Forget
• Ephraim= Double fruitful
QUESTION
• Did Joseph ever forget his childhood?
• Or did he learn to deal with it?

13. Food for thought
• Many of us fill up our physical storehouses
every week and keep a running check of
items. (refrigerator, freezer, deep freezer,
cabinets, and etc.)
• What about our spiritual storehouse?
• Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if
he shall gain the whole world, and lose his
own soul? or what shall a man give in
exchange for his soul?
