Romans 1:16

2. Romans 1:16-17
• For I am not ashamed of the gospel of
Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth; to
the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
• For therein is the righteousness of God
revealed from faith to faith: as it is written,
The just shall live by faith.

3. What did Corinth hear?
• !!!!!!THE GOSPEL MESSAGE!!!!
• Acts 18:8. . . . . .and many of the
Corinthians hearing believed, and were
baptized.

4. Look at the POWER of the Gospel
• 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (turn with me please)
It converted
• Wrongdoers,.. .fornicators,. ...idolaters,
adulterers,…. effeminate,…… sodomites,
thieves,……. drunkards,……… slanders,
swindlers

5. 2 Corinthians 4
• Has the gospel message been hid?
• If it has then we should expect them to be
lost!
• Unveil the gospel message and SAVE
those who are lost!

6. What we MUST DO
• 2 Timothy 2:1 Thou therefore, my child, be
strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
• 2 Timothy 2:2 And the things which thou hast heard
from me among many witnesses, the same commit
thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach
others also.
• 2 Timothy 2:3 Suffer hardship with me, as a good
soldier of Christ Jesus.

7. Learn how to defend!
• Jude 1:3 Beloved, while I was giving all
diligence to write unto you of our common
salvation, I was constrained to write unto
you exhorting you to contend earnestly for
the faith which was once for all delivered
unto the saints.
• 1 Thessalonians 5:21 prove all things;
hold fast that which is good;

8. Learn how to DEFEND!
• 1 Peter 3:15 but sanctify in your hearts Christ as
Lord: being ready always to give answer to
every man that asketh you a reason concerning
the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and
fear:
• 1 Peter 3:16 having a good conscience; that,
wherein ye are spoken against, they may be put
to shame who revile your good manner of life in
Christ.

9. Logical Arguments
• When defending and teaching the truth
use logical arguments that the person can
understand and apply!
• Titus 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as
he hath been taught, that he may be able
by sound doctrine both to exhort and to
convince the gainsayers.

10. Remember
• This world is not our home
• We are just passing through
• Our treasures are laid up, somewhere
beyond the blue!

11. Remember
• Yonder over the rolling river, where the
• shining mansions rise, Soon will be our
• home for ever and the smile of the blessed
• giver glad-ens all our longing eyes

12. Encouragement
• Isaiah 41:13 For I, Jehovah thy God, will hold
thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I
will help thee.
• Acts 23:11 And the night following the Lord
stood by him, and said, Be of good cheerBe of good cheer:
for as thou hast testified concerning me at
Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at
Rome.

13. Encouragement
• 2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people, who are
called by my name, shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek my face, and turn from
their wicked ways; then will I hear from
heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal
their land.
• 2 Chronicles 7:15 Now mine eyes shall be
open, and mine ears attent, unto the prayer
that is made in this place.
