2. JEFF CREIGHTON, FOUNDER AND CEO
Jeff pioneered online lead generation to the education industry as founder and
chairman of EduPoint.com, growing the web portal to become the largest
continuing education site on the internet back in 1999. Jeff has successfully
raised over $20 million in venture financing for prior education-related
companies.
Most recently, Jeff founded, ran, and sold EdAssist, a Learning Management
platform for corporate HR that currently managed over $100 million per year in
tuition volume. The Company was recently sold to Bright Horizons, Inc.
Jeff has an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the Marshall
School of Business at U.S.C., and an MBA from Pepperdine University. He has also
been an adjunct faculty member for the Graziadio School of Business at
Pepperdine where he has taught new venture creation.
3. JOHN ZAPPA, CO-FOUNDER AND COO
A pioneer in the field, he created the industry’s first education network to
address the rising cost of education for adult learners.
Prior to joining Knoitall, he helped to found and serve as CEO of EdLink, LLC a
leading provider of tuition assistance management services. Under John’s
leadership, EdLink grew to manage over $220 million in education funding and
was acquired by the Fortune 500 firm Bright Horizons Family Solutions.
An industry expert on lifelong learning, John has spoken at numerous industry
conferences including Chief Learning Officer Symposium, Society of Human
Resource Management, and The Conference Board, and has co-authored
articles on corporate tuition assistance programs and talent management.
John has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon and an MBA
from Dartmouth College.
4. DAN LEIGH, BOARD MEMBER
Dan has extensive experience with a vast array of businesses, including but
not limited to, high tech, real estate, energy, consumer products, finance and
insurance. In 2005, one of his many companies had annual revenues of over
$180 million.
Dan Leigh graduated cum laude from San Diego State University in 1986, and
received his MBA in 1992. He s a current school board trustee and foundation
trustee for Linfield Christian School.
5. JOE BUDANO, BOARD MEMBER
Joe is an experienced, Private Equity backed CEO with a continuous track
record growing companies and leading them through successful exits.
Significant turnaround and deal experience, having led and participated in 11
successful M&A transactions ranging from $6M to $600M.
He currently serves as CEO of Indyme Solutions which designs, builds, and
supports Smart Response systems used in some 22,000 retail stores
worldwide.
Prior to joining Indyme, Mr. Budano was CEO of several private equity and
venture capital backed technology companies ranging in size from pre-
revenue to $1.2B. Mr. Budano has five U.S. patents, holds a BSME degree from
Boston University and a Masters of Management degree with distinction from
the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
