 Many government officials
took bribes which caused a
big problem.
 Many talented people
refused to serve in
government.

refused to
pay taxes.
 Fewer people
attended
school.

4.  There wasn’t enough
farmers so hunger
started to spread.
 Roads and bridges
were destroyed.
 Trade routes became
unsafe because all the
invaders.

5.  The Roman
solders seized
crops and
destroyed bridges.
 They had to stay
away from bribes.
 Different tribes
tried to attack the
Roman empire.

6.  The barbarians
invaded and tried to
destroy the empire.
 They invaded it
because it was really
big.
 Some groups called
the Huns were run out
of the Asia minor.
