Objectives to accomplish
establish a process for developing student leadership competencies
Contemporaneously building infrastructure through our prototype
while getting approval
Our grant has three principal components: (1) Leadership Curriculum Designed for Students with a focus on development of 21st century professional skills through workshops and experiences; (2) Field-Based Professional Practice Opportunities for Students to allow for the practice and refinement of engineering leadership skills; and (3) Faculty Development for supporting student-centered course redesign to increase the number of courses that implement project- and/or problem-based learning, an established approach for increasing student learning, academic achievement, and professional skills development.
