The document provides instructions for creating two special effects makeup looks:
1) A cut in the skin, created using modeling wax to outline the cut, a bruised palette to add bruising around the cut, and fake blood for realism.
2) A playing card stuck in the skin, made by cutting a card to size, using modeling wax to adhere it to the skin, adding bruising with a palette, and fake blood to make it appear embedded.
Tips are given for each step like warming wax between the hands, starting lighter colors and blending for bruising effect, and using a syringe for blood application control. The instructions aim to help readers easily create realistic injury effects.

Good morning world, welcome to Mix. Fix & go. Today I will be talking about special effects
make up and how to create 2 easy looks.
Here we go, you will need modelling wax, bruised pallet, fake blood and playing cards.
The first effect that I’m going to recreate is a cut in the skin. You can do this look anywhere
on the skin, you can do a slit in the neck, a cut on your knee, a cut on your face, anything
depending what look you want to create. Step 1 you will need to make sure the area of skin
you are creating this look on is clean and dry then you can begin, You will need your wax
just a small amount to create the outline of your cut you can make it any size depending on
the look you want to create, a handy tip is to use baby powder and then warm the wax up
in-between the palms of your hands making it easier to mould onto your skin. Step 2 you
will need your bruised pallet to create a bruised effect around the cut which makes it look
more effective so you can make the look a bad as you want. Another handy tip if you start
off with the lighter colours blending them around the cut and into your skin colour and
slowly start building the colours up with the darker colours closest to the cut I find it easier
using a face painting sponge to create this effect you may need to wash it in-between each
colour its completely up to you. Step 3 the final touch by adding the fake blood you can add
as much as you want depending on the effect you want to create. A handy tip for handling
fake blood is using a medicine syringe as you can control the fake blood better. Hope my
handy tips help you create this simple and effective look.
The second look that I am going to recreate is a playing card stuck in the skin; you can create
this look anywhere on the body depending what look you want to put across. Step 1 You will
first need to get the playing card and cut it to the shape you would like it you may need to
measure it against the area you wish to crate this look you may find it easy to use a pen and
mark the cad where it needs cutting. Step 2 You then need to get the wax handy tip is to
warm it up in-between you palms then place it either on the base of the card or on to your
skin, they is no easy way of placing the playing card on to your skin its just making sure the
wax is warm enough to mould. Step 3 if you get you bruised pallet and start by adding the
lighter colours and blending them in to the cut and your skin then add the darker colours
closer to the cut. Step 4 by adding the fake blood it is making the card look like it’s sticking
out of your skin, you can add as much blood as you want depending on the effect you want,
handy tip is to use a medicine syringe so you have more control. I hope these tips help you
create the look you want.
