- 1. Evaluation 2 Research And Planning
- 2. What research have I done? For my research, as my film is about a player getting released from a professional football team, I decided to research the amount of players that get released and the live they live after they get released so I could get a sense of what I could include in my movie. Things I found out are that, There are 130 players that were once Professional ballers that are now in jail. The majority are under 25 and the offence is usually drug offences. I also found out that there are a number of footballers who lead onto getting a degree. The most interesting things I found out was these professionals that were released when they were younger but never gave up on there dream. Joey Barton- Released by Everton at the age of 14. Has now played for teams such as Man City, Newcastle, QPR, and Marseille and capped England. Demba Ba- Released and rejected by Swansea, Gillingham. Has played for Newcastle and Beskitas. Robbie Savage- Released by Man U. Ex Birmingham and Blackburn and now a BBC Pundit.Kevin Philips –Released by Southampton. Former Sunderland Striker but now coaching.
- 3. How have I researched my audience? I used primary research such as interviewing people off camera of what they would like to see in my film and I got feedback such as, a lot of action, football scenes, street racing, shootout and robbery. Unfortunately, I was not able to give the audience everything they requested but they are satisfied with my final film.
- 4. Film Analysis As I decided for my final project I was doing a film, I decided to analyse the opening scenes of three films, Set It Off, Coach Carter and Green Street Hooligans. I analysed the shot types, cuts, purpose, mise en scene and sound audio. I analysed these things because these are important things whilst making a film and it also gave me ideas of how to construct my opening scene. I specifically chose these films because they all have similar ideas to mine. Coach Carter is about a basketball coach taking over a basketball team who are not educated or disciplined. Set it Off is about bank robbery which is similar to my corner shop robbery scene. Green Street Hooligans is about football fans fighting and this included the GSE west ham fans and also Tottenham hotspur hooligans, this team is based in my movie.
- 5. How well did I plan my product One thing I enjoyed doing was planning for my film which I feel I did extremely well in doing. Without my plan, I don’t think my film would have been as successful as it was. Firstly I came up with a storyline and turned this into a storyboard and a script. Planning was very important because without it going well, my film would of have many issues but planning it well mad it easier for me to shoot and edit because I knew straight away what I was going to do.
- 6. How well did I manage my time? I think I managed my time well and one thing that helped me to do this was my production schedule. This helped me organise myself and prepare for shoots and also helped me stick to the timings. Unfortunately there were some days I could not shoot so I had to re schedule the shoot. Working with the actors was difficult because the majority of them had to do things whilst shooting which lead me to rushing a lot which lead to me getting some shots out of focus. Another good thing I did was starting shooting and this saved me a lot of time to edit my film to the best of capability.
