The Marshall University Thundering Word speech and debate team traveled to a tournament in Philadelphia where they achieved success in the poetry event. Three members of the team advanced to the poetry finals, which involves interpreting and performing published poetry and spoken word. The team then attended the awards ceremonies before getting some rest after their accomplishments.

1. MU Thundering Word (Speech and Debate) We go where no others have gone before… In twenty years anyway.

2. We go to Philadelphia.

3. We go to Poetry Finals. Poetry is an interpretive event in which speakers interpret and perform published works of poetry and spoken word. In this particular tournament, Marshall had 3 competitors make finals.

4. We go to awards ceremonies.

5. We go to sleep.
