2. Analyze the Learner
This is a 9th grade world history class
8 are girls
7 are guys
3 have ADHD (all three boys)
3. Objective
My 9th grade world history class will be put into three groups of five
and will discuss their part of the research of Chernobyl (either
before, during or after) by using the internet, watching videos and
listening to my short lecture, they will complete this by the end of the
week with 100% accuracy.
4. Day by Day
Monday
We will get into our three groups of five people and decide on which part your group wants to
discuss (before, during or after). From there we will listen to a short lecture of mine then for the rest of
the class we will watch videos.
Tuesday
We will go to the computer lab and begin our projects with research on the internet and watching
videos in our groups. On this day each person will also come up with one question dealing with their
research (five questions a group). The questions and answers will be given to me to look over. If
corrections need to be made or a question is duplicated, we will correct this the following day.
These questions will be extra credit questions.
Wednesday
We will meet in the computer lab again and begin putting our information together. We will also
discuss if there were any duplicated questions or errors in our questions the students came up with.
Thursday
We will meet in the computer lab for the last time and put together our final information and group
questions into a power point.
Friday
We will have a five to eight minute discussion for each group while one person in each group clicks
to the next slide. Once the discussion is over, the questions that are asked are asked to the other
two groups for extra credit. Each group will decide the correct answer, write them down, then hand
the paper into me (only one written paper needed).
