3. -diversions= 'the needs to escape from everyday life and relax'
•The fact that my horror trailer is based on a group of everyday girls
emphasises how it can create a relaxed atmosphere and the audience
can relate to the situation of the girls. It also creates a sense of escapism as
the things that occur throughout the trailer such as the main protagonist
being possessed hey the diary doesn't happen in reality.
-personal relationships= 'people use the media to fulfil their needs of
companionship and to form relationships with others'
•With the trailer itself being involved in a younger target audience,
audiences of this age tend to gossip and discuss what they have seen, also
the fact that the we uploaded our trailer to YouTube allows the audience
to discuss it with friends and family members as it is easily accessible to all.
4. -personal identity= 'we tend to use the media to find out about
ourselves, sometimes the way people are presented we can relate to'
•Although our final piece is a trailer many candidates watching it may
feel as though they can relate to what is happening to the characters
throughout, they may well see themselves within the main protagonist
and often can relate to the stories which occur throughout the trailer.
-surveillance='using the media to find out what is going on around us'
•Our horror trailer uses all for needs of the uses and gratifications theory
and can allow our audiences to use the media our trailer is poster on to
see what other horror trailers are present on the internet this meaning
that they understand what is current.

6. -Our primary audience for our horror trailer is
primarily young people who enjoy horror films
and going to the cinemas to watch them.
Therefore this mean that our trailer will use all
of the key generic elements of miss-en-scene,
cinematography, sound and edit to
encourage our audience to anticipate or
predict what is going to happen from the
trailer to the film, this will also mean they get
more pleasure out of it.

8. All forms of moving image require and instigate some form
of audience response therefore I decided that I would use
audience responses to reveal the development of my
project. I began with an audience feedback interview on
my ancillary tasks, all of the audience responses I received
were very beneficial and allowed me to understand what
features and conventions my audience can establish from
my work in comparison to the actual models I based my
work upon. I also gained audience responses to compare
my preliminary task and my final trailer, I was able to
understand just the significant amount of development I
had made from the chase sequence to our final horror
trailer. With my target audience doing the audience
responses it was evident that my coursework suited the
age category I had decided to put my pieces in.
