2. Jones, Partners Website
Analysis
❖ Jones, Partners: Architecture has a website that covers
all of their work from architecture designs and photos to
all of the publications and blogs they currently hold.
From the information on their website they work on
everything from small residential projects to large
commercial ones, even chairs. They are located and
operate out of Los Angeles, California, but have been
included in projects around the world.
3. What is your first impression of this
website? (Positive/negative/neutral?)
Jones, Partners
Website Analysis
My first impression of this site is that the
index page is way to chaotic. I am just
clicking blindly because I have no clue
what I am clicking on and where it will take
me. There is no clear order to route the
customer through. If I were a potential
customer I would not go any farther than
the index page before I went back to
google for another recommendation.

4. What - in your opinion - is this site doing
correctly/incorrectly? And, what do you
like/not like about the site?
Jones, Partners
Website Analysis
Correctly- This site is using plenty of photos
and content covering their work
Incorrectly- This index too cluttered and the
navigation options are not on the index or home
page
Like- Large portfolio of their work
Do Not Like- The home page is too cluttered,
makes me think, and does not give a clear path
to more information; I also do not like the logo
in the middle of the page

5. Jones, Partners Website
Analysis
Absolutely not, the main navigation isn’t even on the home
page. The navigation page is a completely different page
from the home page and has too much text to be easily
usable. Also, there are too many links and no clear path to
send a customer through.
Where is the primary navigation menu on
the site? Do you find it easy to use?
6. Jones, Partners Website
Analysis
In my opinion, I would change the
home page design completely so
there is an abbreviated version of
the current navigation page with
clearly labeled links and an easy
path to photos and information
about their work.
How could the navigation on the site be
improved?

7. If you came to the site considering doing
business with the company, would this
website be a POSITIVE or NEGATIVE
influence?
Jones, Partners
Website Analysis
In my opinion, this site would be a negative
influence. I have severe OCD and the fact
that there is no clear navigation in the
header with easy to understand links that
send my customer on a pathway to
contacting me, really bugs me. I would
consider this company to be second rate
and move on, even though this company is
a reputable architecture business with
work all around the world.

❖ Photos and Illustrations play a big part in setting the tone
for what you will find behind each link on the navigation
bar. Each page should have photos and designs that
cater to that page and show off something that the user
might relate to. Thus, helping on the pathway to
conversion.
