2. Today..
• In todays society technology is changing before our eyes.
Some things small, some things big but most things we
notice as we watch technology change. The way
technology is changing today is effecting us as a
community.
3. 2015
• Today access to technology is relatively easy. We have
technology everywhere. Such as our homes, jobs,
schools, and even public restrooms. Take a look at our
mobile phones. You can now access the internet and
communicate nation wide all on a mobile device. But
with that being said, there is a lot of stuff that we haven’t
invented yet.
4. Critical Mass Theory
• A few years back Google came out with a new type of
technology, Google Glasses. These glasses displayed
information like a smartphone and worked by voice
command. In 2013 Google made a limited amount before
they became available to the public in May 2014. When
these first were talked about they were the new social
movement, everyone wanted one. That is what we call
critical mass theory, when a lot of people get something,
everyone wants it because that is what’s in at that time.
5. Google Glasses
• In the year 2025 these glasses will be one of the markets
highest sellers. They are advanced and high tech. They
allow us to use the internet in a different way.
6. PS4 Camera
• The PlayStation 4 Camera allows you to log in with facial
recognition. It also allows you to share photos with
friends virtually. So in the year 2025 this certain object
should be at its best and functioning perfectly allowing us
to view gaming in a different way.
7. Navigation
• In modern day cars/SUVs there are navigation systems.
These systems help people get from point A to point B. In
the year 2025 navigation systems should be able to take
you to places far and beyond point A and point B.
8. Dependency
• Many people depend on navigation systems to get them
from place to place in todays society. You typically will
not see someone pull out a map anymore for directions.
Why do all that when you have a car that has a navigation
system in it or even your smartphone has a navigation
app.
9. Lap Tops
• In todays society they are starting to make students get
lap tops at younger ages to bring to school which gets rid
of the whole pencil and paper and physically making
them do any writing. Also, we are starting to see some
teachers switching to eBooks instead of text books.
10. Virtual Learning
• By the year 2025 we will lose all use of pencils,
notebooks, ect. I believe that it will all be done on
laptops. Schools will either require you to have your own
laptop or they will provide them for students to use at a
certain cost. All textbooks will be available as an eBook.
This type of technology advancement will help our
environment. When switching to laptops it allows for web
chats and virtual classrooms so you can speak to your
teachers and classmates from anywhere at anytime.
11. To Conclude
• Technology is advancing everyday as we speak. By the
year 2025 it is going to be interesting to see all the new
things they come out with to better our society. Google
glasses, PS4 Cameras, and navigation are all things that
can and will better it.
