“Oh GOSH! Reflecting on Hackteria's Collaborative Practices in a Global Do-It...
An easter egg that could be a dinosaur’s
1.
2. In this picture we can see a picture of dinosaur eggs birds
of today and chocolate Easter eggs. This picture also
compares the shapes of the eggs to one another.
3. The shape of the Easter egg is just a way
of showing how things change from one
species to another just like the shape of
one chocolate egg form one company to
another. The egg that I am talking about
“left” is a dinosaur egg that looks like it
could have been lain by a bird not a
dinosaur.
4. Because of this egg scientist
believe that it could have
belong to a 70 million year old
bird. Which they named “Sankofa
pyrenaica. (Sankofa is an Ashanti word
meaning “learning from the past”.)”.
5. To figure out if the egg belonged to
a dinosaur scientist compared it to
two kinds of eggs dinosaur eggs
and bird eggs. Then the scientists
made a mathematical formula to
determine all the possible shapes
“next they plotted real eggs,
based on size and shape, into this
egg morph space."
6. Scientists have found that the eggs of
dinosaurs are not the same shape as
the eggs of birds.
In general bird eggs tend to be more
rounded then dinosaur eggs tend to be
more elongated than bird eggs
7. researchers have found that the
Sankofa pyrenaica egg is like no
other researchers said.
In a second smaller study the
scientists in the UK compared the size
and shapes of the dinosaur and bird
eggs to that of candy eggs found in
