1. Watch the QuickSearch demo video
2. Use QuickSearch to find at least three articles or
sources on today’s topic
3. Add references to your folder (see video)
4. Go to the temporary folder and email yourself the
references. Change the citation format to
‘Chicago/Turabian Humanities’
5. Share at least one reference in the chat on our Teams
meeting.

1. How current is the source? Does this matter for this

2. Does the content appear relevant to your topic? (via
title, abstract, subject keywords on QuickSearch)
3. Who wrote it? Who published it? Are they an authority
on this topic?
4. Articles/chapters: where was it published? Is this a
relevant publication worth exploring further?

Can’t visit the library in person?
Whole book: purchase recommendation form – please mention you
need an e-book. If we can’t buy it as an e-book we’ll let you know.
One chapter or journal article: Document Supply or Inter-Library
Loan form. We can scan a print article/chapter from our collection
(free), or get an item (including articles) from another library on your
behalf (£4 approx.).
Can visit the library in person?
As above but we may be able to buy or borrow print books for you as
well as you accessing our print collections yourself.

– British Library: reference only but should have everything
published in UK.
