files into small packets or chunks in order to
send them across a network. Once all the
packets forming a message arrive in the
destination they are recompiled into the
original message. A date packet is a unit of
data made into a single package that travels
along a given network path.
5. A router is a networking device that forwards
data packets between computer networks.
The routers determine where to send
information from one computer to another. It
has the task of transferring a data packet
from one router to another through the
networks until it reaches its destination.
