My score was 70 which was excellent despite a few weaknesses in other areas that I need to work on. The areas that I scored well include self-confidence, positive attitude and outlook, being a good role model and motivating people to deliver the vision. On the contrary the first area where I performed poorly was emotional intelligence a concept which identifies some specific kind of human talent, character and soft or communication skills. Learning how to develop empathy is vital to developing emotional intelligence which should be learnt through effective communication to acquire the perspective of the person being spoken to (Helsing & Howell, 2016). Another essential aspect that I did not perform well in leadership was having the ability to formulate a strong and compelling vision of the future which critical in inspiring the people that I lead. To ensure this aspect is accomplished, I need a thorough background knowledge about the area that I am operating in. The strategic analysis methods are essential in obtaining the major insights required into the environment that I operate in. A different are that I need to improve is management of performance using effective methods. This skill is useful in reducing uncertainty which is useful when it comes to dealing with challenges related to performance positively. This aspect requires team members to have a clear understanding of the present rules, engage in the rule making process and ensure that their expectations are in accordance to the available resources or support, which enhances fair and consistent treatment when leading (Ramchunder & Martins, 2017). Another leadership skill that needs improvement is provision of stimulation and support at work. I need to develop the ability of giving out challenging and interesting work as I support the efforts necessary for the employees to perform their level best. Assigning the tasks based on the employees’ skill set is a major aspect that helps them to grow over time. also learnt through the survey of Transformational leadership
skills including motivation as an important factor in delivering
vision. Having the ability to convince others to accept the goals
that have been laid, putting emphasis on team work is a skill
that enables people to achieve great success (Rubens & Leah,
2018). Another skill I learnt was being a good role model to
others through integrity and being trusted. Upholding the vision
and being in action is important in ensuring the success of the
entire team. People get inspired because as a role model it
means I am worthy of my authority and power.

Actionable engagement
The actionable plan I intend to accomplish is to conduct reliable
public communication that would influence the adoption in
better ways of life through improving their cognitive ability.
Through educating the members of the public on the effective
means that could develop their skills and competence while
conducting various tasks in their routine lives as well as
establishing ways of taking advantage of the available
opportunities (InZhao & Xiangyu, pg. 950). Mental health is an
essential aspect in both economic and social livelihood since
individuals are able to conduct economic activities effectively
as well as relate well with other individuals. Moreover, the
conditions of individual mental performance can be affected by
the external aspects such as drug abuse and environmental
aspects in the society. This paper will effectively reveal an
effective method that will improve the cognitive ability of
individuals through mass education programs.
Mental health stipulates how an individual performs duties as
well as embrace the available opportunities at his disposal.
Without the relevant cognitive perceptions, one would not
appreciate the social and economic activities one could invest
time. Through facilitating mass education programs that enable
the members of the public to realize their capability and skills
that unlock their un-active potential. Further, informing the
public on possible issues that would hinder their cognitive
ability from effectively conducting constructive activities such
as drug use, ignorance, and negligence. Developing measures
that would enhance the information held by the public on the
impacts of positive cognitive aspects will facilitate the proper
performance of critical activities (Milleret-Raffort & Françoise,
pg. 68). Approaches such as educating the masses through mass
media and social media platforms will effectively curb the
5. habits that inhibit effective cognitive capability. Since
competence and development of skills in various fields are
determined by the cognitive health one has to facilitate proper
mental health among the members of the public would enhance
the quality of life. For instance, to ensure proper employee
performance in an organization, the management should
enhance positive mental health that will enable them to
concentrate on the delegated duties effectively. Though, family
issues affect the performance of the employees through
educating the employees on how to separate the work and
family as well as advising them on the potential institutions
they could seek family issues help would effectively develop
their capability.
Further, through organizing seminars that address the various
challenges that the society encounters while on the daily lives
as well as motivate them to realize cognitive capability
("Associations Between Academic Burnout and Social-
Cognitive Factors'' nd). Again, advocating for the establishment
of the counseling programs and influencing governmental
projects aimed at improving the previously marginalized groups
in the various communities would effectively improve the
economical production of once poor individuals. Though public
awareness programs could address various issues affecting the
cognitive ability of the members of public financial facilitation
towards such programs can pose an inevitable problem.
Moreover, the possibility of participants to cooperate with the
established approaches could be a challenge to effectively
address the eminent cognitive issues in society. The
governmental decision making on projects possible to be put up
in a certain society is time-consuming thus would fail to address
the eminent issues within the necessary time.
In conclusion, it is essential to realize the potential of cognitive
ability within members of the public since, through self-
awareness, individuals can participate actively in the socio-
economic programs in society. Further, establishing public
awareness programs would avail necessary information on the
6. importance of cognitive ability. Finally, eminent challenges in
performing such public awareness programs could inhibit the
proper establishment of the relevant programs.

various tasks in their routine lives.
Help the public establish ways of taking advantage of the
available opportunities.
This plan intends to develop a reliable public communication
that will improve people’s cognitive ability, with the aim of
influencing them to develop other life skills and competencies
that would help them lead a better life and take advantage of the
available opportunities (InZhao & Xiangyu, pg. 950).
2
Issues to be addressed
The mass education program will;
Inform the public on the issues which may negatively impact
their cognitive abilities such as drug use, ignorance, and
negligence.
Focus on developing measures that would enhance the
information held by the public to facilitate the proper
performance of critical activities (Milleret-Raffort & Françoise,
pg. 68)
Help members of the public unlock their un-active potential.
This plan will inform the public on possible issues that would
hinder their cognitive ability from effectively conducting
constructive activities such as drug use, ignorance, and
negligence. For example, the plan will promote the creation of
8. better working environment with the aim of facilitating proper
mental health among the employees since this affects their
performance and their ability to concentrate on the delegated
duties effectively.

Social Cognitive Theory
Physical wellness is mostly associated with the absence of
diseases. It pertains to the wellness of both the body and the
mind.
Some of the dimensions by which physical health is gauged
include the abandonment of bad behaviors such as drinking,
smoking, adopting exercises and proper weight control (Stults
et. al. 85).
Negative behaviors such as drug and substance abuse not only
10. harms the individual but also the society at large.
Physical Dimensions of Wellness:
Effects of Unhealthy Behavior
Unhealthy behaviors predisposes one to infections such as
respiratory illnesses, HIV/AIDS, some types of cancer and
hepatitis C.
It hinders the normal functioning of the brain and interferes
with some of its major functions
A damaged brain subsequently leads to self-destructive
behaviors, depression, hopelessness, anger, loss of control and
the development of mental disorders (Brown, Cassandra L. et al.
840)
Impact of Drug Abuse on Society
Increased criminal activities
Increased burden on medical and other social services
Unused opportunities and limited capacity to engage in
productive economic activity.
Recommendations
People should quit alcohol abuse and participate in social
activities in order to prevent them from engaging in criminal
behavior.
4
ii. Frequent exercise can reduce the chances of developing
lifestyle diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular infections.
Strength of Recommendations
11. Quitting habits such as alcohol and drug abuse will not only
benefit the individual but also the society at large (Bandura
617). It will lead to increased social awareness and reduced
crime.
A Diagrammatic Illustration of the Benefits of Exercise
Regular exercise sheds off body weight and reduces the chances
of an individual suffering from cardiovascular infections and
other lifestyle. These are diseases such as diabetes. These
recommendations will be successful since they will reduce the
burden on healthcare services by drug addicts as well as enable
them lead healthy lives.
Challenges Faced When Implementing Recommendations
Lack of adequate participation from some of the alcohol addicts
due to the lack of knowledge.
Slow uptake of habits such as walking, cycling and other forms
of exercise.

Milestone Two

Physical Dimensions of Health within Social Cognitive Theory
The physical health of a person depends on such factors as
physical development predetermined by heredity, physical
fitness, which determines the body’s ability to exercise, as well
as adaptive reserves that provide mobilization of the body when
adapting to external environmental conditions. Physical
dimensions of health are interdependent with mental and
emotional health, which characterize the adequacy of behavior
and the ability of the human body to function optimally in
complex or changing conditions. In addition, physical health
directly depends on socio-cultural factors, including income
level, education, choice of social environment, and behavioral
pattern in relation to health (Neely-Prado, Alejandra et al.).
These factors provide access to quality medical services,
literacy and interest in maintaining physical and mental health.
Given the complex nature of health, the development of skills to
strengthen and maintain physical health becomes the basis of
general human health. Development of behavioral skills aimed
at increase of physical activity directly impacts on quality of
life and general wellbeing of people. Adequate and reasonable
level of physical activity allows maintaining optimal
functioning of organism including mental and emotional health.
For example, indicators of physical health such as blood
pressure and immune response affect the emotional well-being
of the individual, coupled with an active social life and the
13. ability more effectively to overcome stress in everyday life. In
turn, positive social contacts (support of family, friends, and
community) provide a powerful motivation to maintain health
and overcome the challenges associated with changing
environmental conditions, stress and poor physical health
(Stults-Kolehmainen & Rajita).
The elements forming physical health are interconnected with
internal environment that determines physical, mental and
emotional adaptive abilities of the person. External environment
provides conditions for effective maintaining of health or
opposite creates barriers to health saving. However, situations
influencing internal and external environments in high degree
depends on behavioral pattern. For example, the person can
avoid some actions or behavior if he is in risk group on relevant
criteria (hereditary predisposition to diabetes, overweight, and
other chronic diseases). The behavior associated with physical
health is associated with awareness, the formation of motivation
and the development of behavioral skills to maintain physical
wellbeing, reduce the risks of chronic diseases, prevent psycho-
emotional disorders through physical activity, etc. (Brown,
Cassandra L. et al.).
The social-cognitive theory described in the book Social
foundations of thought and action: a social cognitive theory by
Bandura (1986) focuses on how human behavior is formed due
to such variables as the external environment, behavioral
patterns, and cognitive characteristics and how they affect
physical health. The external environment that affects physical
health includes ecology, social environment, working conditions
and social connections. However, according to social-cognitive
theory, self-efficacy and the ability to evaluate the
consequences of behavior have a critical effect on human
health. Bandura considers self-efficacy as the willingness and
ability of a person to perform certain actions, while assessing
the risks of behavior, controlling the result of the action and its
consequences (Bandura). Behavioral patterns influence the
formation of lifestyle both through the censure of bad habits
14. (smoking, alcoholism, drug addiction) and through the
dissemination of information about the effects of physical
inactivity, overeating, etc. Cognitive characteristics of a person
affect emotional stability and the ability to adapt to external
conditions, which determines the level of motivation in the
formation and development of behavioral skills aimed at
maintaining physical health.

Milestone One
9.9.2019
Physical Dimensions of Wellness
The state of public health is the most important indicator of the
wealth and prosperity of a nation. The incidence is often
associated with their lack of awareness of the risk of certain
diseases and first aid skills, the presence of bad habits and a
generally low level of self-preservation culture. At the same
time, a tendency is observed in the youth environment related to
the weakening of the value attitude to their health. One of the
most important aspects of physical dimension of healthcare is
weight control, physical exercise, the conscious abandonment of
smoking, alcohol, and drugs. The abuse of tobacco, alcohol,
drugs harms individuals and society effects on a person’s
physical health, ranging from minor disorders such as digestive
problems or respiratory infections to potentially fatal diseases
such as AIDS, hepatitis C and various types of cancer.
Unhealthy lifestyle influences the functioning of the brain and a
change in the way it responds to external influences (distorted
perception of reality; confused and disordered thinking; the
development of mental disorders, loss of control, anger,
hopelessness and depression; self-destructive behavior. Also,
the negative impact on society includes losses associated with
unused opportunities and human abilities; all types of criminal
activities related to drugs and alcoholism; expenses for medical
and social services (Bircher & Kuruvilla).
One of the consequences of an unhealthy lifestyle can be the
development of depression that requires treatment. In the
context of emotional dimension of health, depression is divided
into 2 types: reactive (psychogenic) and endogenous. Reactive
depression occurs in a person in response to any traumatic
16. event: illness or death of a relative, strong conflict, separation,
illness, resentment or injustice, or prolonged stress. In this case,
the cause of depression is outside the person and work with this
depression is aimed at eliminating the cause, and sometimes the
medication method is used to treat this depression. Endogenous
depression is more complex. The causes of such depression are
considered a lack of hormones - serotonin, norepinephrine,
dopamine. If the body produces them in insufficient quantities,
then the person begins to worry greatly about and without it,
feels a sense of oppression, severe apathy, the worthlessness of
his existence, etc. Usually, depression is the sum of biological,
psychological, and social factors; rarely, only one specific
cause leads to depression. Heredity, conditions of early
development and features of a person's life determine the degree
of his susceptibility to depression (Bircher & Hahn). The
development of depression can also be influenced by hormonal
causes or lack of sunlight in the winter. The likelihood of
depression increases, for example, in cases of physical illness,
for example, dementia, thyroid dysfunction or Parkinson's
disease, the use of narcotic substances and alcohol.
Physical dimension of health is related to the body and depends
from the dynamic balance of the functions of all internal organs,
their adequate response to environmental influences. Biological
health is linked to mental health is a state of general mental
comfort. Thus, human health is a process of conservation and
development of his mental and physiological qualities, optimal
performance and social activity with a maximum life expectancy
(Bircher & Hahn). Optimal motor activity affects in a
stimulating way on the functions of the central nervous system
and mental activity of a person. In this context, physical and
physical health are interconnected and interdependent. Data
provided by the World Health Organization indicate that at least
50% of human health depends on lifestyle (Bircher &
Kuruvilla). Thus, the dominant role of lifestyle in ensuring
human health is more than obvious.
