Self -Awareness
• Self-awareness is your ability to
perceive and understand the things
that make you who you are as an
individual, including your personality,
actions, values, beliefs, emotions, and
thoughts. Essentially, it is a
psychological state in which the self
becomes the focus of attention.
Types
• Internal self-awareness refers to
understanding your own
emotions and how they affect
your thoughts and actions.
• External self-awareness refers to
understanding how others
perceive your thoughts and
actions.

important?
In order to live life authentically and find what it is that
makes us happy and fulfilled, we have to know ourselves.
Sometimes it can feel like we’re simply playing the cards
we’re dealt. We see a path laid out for us and don’t bother
looking to the sides to see if there’s another way.
