• Genre is the style or type of music. There are
many different types of genre varying from
heavy metal to classical.
• The sort of genre you listen too is the sort of
music you are into for example if you like
listening to DJ’s and electronic music, the most
popular genre would be house music.
3. Indie Genre
• The indie genre is music that is a defined
music style and targeted towards a more
specific group of people opposed to
mainstream which is targeted towards a larger
group of people.
• The word ‘indie’ is a shortened version of
‘individual’ which represents its purpose to
attract more quirky and different people.
