• X (autonym: Mey) is a small language of India. It is one of the Kho-Bwa
languages. There are two distinct varieties, Mey of Shergaon and Mey of
Rupa. The name X comes from the words Shergaon and Tukpen (the
Monpa name for Rupa). The language is known to speakers as Mey nyuk.
• X is spoken in Shergaon, southern West Kameng District, Arunachal
Pradesh (Dondrup 1988), located in the Tengapani river valley south of
Bomdila.
Sherdukpen
Identify the highest peak of Arunachal Pradesh
• X (also known as Kanggardo Rize) is a mountain in
the Eastern Himalayas. It is located on the border
of China and India.
• X, at 7,060 meters (23,163 ft), is on the border of
the Northeastern Indian state of Arunachal
Pradesh and the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
It is the highest point in Arunachal Pradesh. The
whole area is claimed by China as part of
southern Tibet this claim is contested by India. The
disputed area in which X is located, would lie in the
Tibetan county of Cona under the Chinese claim but
lies in the East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh,
under Indian administration.

• X is a Tibetan noodle soup, which originated in the eastern part
of Tibet. Amdo X (especially thenthuk) is a famous variant among Tibetan
people. The dish became popular in Nepal, Bhutan, and the states
of Sikkim, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh in northeast India. It is also
popular in the Ladakh region and the state of Himachal Pradesh. The food
is widely available in these regions.
Thukpa
• It is a pass between Bhutan and
Arunachal Pradesh.
Bomdilla Pass
• Dedicated to sage Parshuram, the popular site attracts pilgrims
from Nepal, from across India, and from nearby states
of Manipur and Assam. Over 70,000 devotees and sadhus take holy dip its
water each year on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, in the month of
January.
• The legend behind the belief recorded in the Kalika Purana, is that the
great sage Parashuram washed away the sins of killing kshatriyas (cause
the latter killed prashurams father and waged a war against Brahmins) as
he was a Brahmin (because it is not correct of a Brahmin fighting a war or
taking up sword), in the waters of Brahma kund.
Parshuram Kund
• The name of this lake is Sangestar Tso [Tso means lake is Tibetan
language] and it is popularly known by the name X.
• It is the only lake in India to have a name after a Bollywood Actress.
• This lake featured X in the movie Koyla, as a result this lake is also called X
lake.
Madhuri Lake
• X in Itanagar town, is one of the most important historical sites in the
state of Arunachal Pradesh, India. The name literally means "Fort of
bricks"( brick being called “X" in the Ahom language). The X at Arunachal
Pradesh was built as early as the 14th or the 15th century. The fort has an
irregular shape, built mainly with bricks dating back to the 14th-15th
Century. The total brickwork is of 16,200 cubic metre lengths which have
been identified by some scholars with Mayapur of Ramachandra, a king of
the Jitari Dynasty.[2] The fort has three different entrances at three
different sides, which are western, the eastern and the southern sides.
Ita Fort
• Established in the 1980s, it showcases aspects of tribal life of Arunachal
Pradesh, India. These include clothing, headdress, weapons, handicraft,
music instruments, jewellery and other artifacts of daily use and culture,
besides archeological finds.
• In 2011, Tapi Mra, the first person from the state to scale Mt. Everest,
donated his entire expedition gear to the museum.
Jawahar Lal Nehru Museum, Itanagar
• It is the largest monastery in India and second largest in the world after
the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet.
• It is known in Tibetan as Galden Namgey Lhatse, which translates to
"celestial paradise in a clear night.“
• It was founded by Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso in 1680-1681
• At the entrance to the monastery there is colourful gate structure, known
as the Kakaling, which is built in the shape of a "hut-like structure"

of fighting the evil forces.
Bardo Chham
• This Tiger Reserve has won India Biodiversity Award 2016 in the category
of 'Conservation of threatened species' for its Hornbill Nest Adoption
Programme.
• X is located in in the East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. The 862-
sq km X home to many rare and endangered wildlife species, such as
leopard, wild dog, Himalayan black bear and elephant.
• X is also the only Hornbill sanctuary in India.
• The Pakke River lies to the east and the Bhareli River to the west and the
north of the tiger reserve.
Pakhui/ Pakke Tiger Reserve
• X is the largest protected area in the Eastern Himalaya biodiversity
hotspot and is located in Arunachal Pradesh in Northeast India. It is also
the third largest national park in India in terms of area.
• This national park of India is the only place in the world to have 4 feline
species – tiger, leopard, snow leopard and clouded leopard.
• The third largest by size in India (after Hemis National Park in Jammu
and Kashmir and the Desert National Park in Rajasthan), X is a
biodiversity hotspot situated in the Changlang district of Arunachal
Pradesh, 459 km from Tawang.

• X name means Land of the Dawn-Lit Mountains in Sanskrit, is also known
as the Orchid State of India or the Paradise of the Botanists. X has the
highest number of regional languages in the Indian subcontinent

Tibet during the Simla Conference. The Tibetan and British
representatives at the conference agreed to the line, and Tibet
ceded Tawang and other Tibetan areas to the British Empire. Thus, the
Chinese representative refused to accept the agreement and walked out

• NEFA( NORTH EAST FRONTIER AGENCY) was renamed as x by Late Sri
Bibhabasu Das Shastri, then the director of research, on 20 January 1972
and it became a Union Territory. X became a state on 20 February 1987.

• Especially along the Tibetan border, the Indian army has a considerable presence
due to concerns about Chinese intentions in the region. Special permits called
Inner Line Permits (ILP) are required to enter x through any of its checkgates on
the border with Assam
• After a political crisis in 2016, the President's rule was imposed ending his
tenure as the chief minister.
• These divide the state into five river valleys the Kameng, the Subansiri,
the Siang, the Lohit and the Tirap. All these are fed by snow from the
Himalayas and countless rivers and rivulets. The mightiest of these rivers
is Siang, called the Tsangpo in Tibet, which becomes the Brahmaputra
after it is joined by the Dibang and the Lohit in the plains of Assam.
• Ziro (which holds cultural festivals),Yomcha (limestone caves called 'tapen uru'), the
Namdapha tiger project in Changlang district and Sela lake near Bomdila with
its bamboo bridges overhanging the river. Religious places of interest include Malinithan
in Lekhabali, Rukhmininagar near Roing (the place as per the popular Hindu mythology,
Rukmini, Lord Krishna's wife, said to have lived), and Parshuram Kund in Lohit
district as Puranas is the lake where sage Parshuram washed away his sins, The Ganga
lake(Gyaker sinyi or Gekar Sinyi)and various other tourist hot spots.

There are two distinct varieties, Mey of Shergaon and Mey of Rupa. The name X comes from the words Shergaon and Tukpen (the Monpa name for Rupa). The fort has an irregular shape, built mainly with bricks dating back to the 14th-15th Century. The total brickwork is of 16,200 cubic metre lengths which have been identified by some scholars with Mayapur of Ramachandra, a king of the Jitari Dynasty.[2] The fort has three different entrances at three different sides, which are western, the eastern and the southern sides.
