2. Uttarakhand formerly known as Uttaranchal is a state in the
northern part of India. It is often referred to as the
"Devabhumi“, is a state in northern India crossed by the
Himalayas, is known for its Hindu pilgrimage sites.

3. The Nanda Devi National Park Biosphere Reserve,
established in 1982 is a national park situated around the
peak of Nanda Devi (7816 m) in the state of Uttarakhand in
northern India.The entire park lies at an elevation of more
than 3,500 m (11,500 ft) above mean sea level.
4. Nainital Lake, also known as Naini Lake a natural freshwater
body, situated amidst the township of Nainital in Kumaon,
tectonic in origin, is kidney shaped or crescent shaped and
has an outfall at the southeastern end.
5. Yamunotri is the source of theYamuna River and the seat of
the GoddessYamuna in Hinduism. It is situated at an altitude
of 3,293 metres in the Garhwal Himalayas and located
approximately 30 km North of Uttarkashi

bridge across the river Ganges,
located 3 km north-east from
the town Rishikesh in the Indian
state of Uttarakhand.The
bridge connects the Sivananda
Nagar area of Muni Ki Reti in
Tehri Garhwal district to
Swargashram in Pauri Garhwal
district crossing the river from
west to east. Built in the year
1986
7. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary is an Indian wildlife sanctuary.
Binsar was the summer capital of the Chand Kings, who
ruled over Kumaon from the 11th to 18th centuries AD.
Binsar was established in 1988 for the conservation and
protection of the shrinking broad leaf oak forests of the
Central Himalayan region, and it has over 200 bird
species.
8. Lakshman Jhula is a
suspension bridge across the
river Ganges, located 5 km
north-east of the city of
Rishikesh in the Indian state of
Uttarakhand.The bridge
connects the two villages of
Tapovan inTehri Garhwal
district, on the west bank of
the river, to Jonk in Pauri
Garhwal district, on the east
bank. Lakshman Jhula is a
pedestrian bridge that was
also used by motorbikes
9. Roopkund is a high altitude glacial lake in the Uttarakhand
state of India. It lies in the lap ofTrishul massif. Located in
the Himalayas, the area around the lake is uninhabited and is
roughly at an altitude of 16,470 feet, surrounded by rock-
strewn glaciers and snow-clad mountains.
10. Kedarnath is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world
and is the highest of the five Panch Kedar temples located in
the mountain range ofTunganath in Rudraprayag district, in
the Indian state of Uttarakhand.TheTunganath mountains
form the Mandakini and Alaknanda river valleys
