Title plan

1. Title Plan
My film plan is based around the concept of kidnap.
Kidnap: captured, held from ransom, seized, shanghaied, snatched, taken hostage.
Hostage is already a film therefore our film cannot be called Hostage. This is because
there is a copyright policy.
Overall in my film opening there are going to be 5 titles. These titles will be presented
creatively by making them discrete and integrate with the shots.
Title 1 – Establishing shot // Field, Production company,
Title 2 - Establishing shot // Skate park, Character names/gang name,
Title 3 – Close up of feet walking, Distribution company,
Title 4 – Close up within smoke from cigarette, Main actors,
Title 5 – Name of film with a black background,
Text types similar to ‘Courier’ as we were inspired by the film ‘Dejavu’ which is shown
in our research. We would like a type writer effect as the titles appear on screen. The
first 4 titles will be small in comparison to the clip to blend in with the scene. The fifth
title will fill the screen as we wan the audience to remember the film title. The chosen
colour of the first 4 titles will depend on the lighting; if its dark we will use white
writing, if it is light we will use black writing. This contrast will make the writing clear
and stand out. The fifth title will be in white writing as it will stand out on the chosen
black background.
