Chinatown was a great experience, it was fun to drive across
town and explore a totally new environment within Chicago. It
was very different from what you see here at Loyola, Chinatown
had this sort-of distinct atmosphere in it, and the distinctly
Chinese architecture and culture made it a little more diverse
than your typical Chicago neighborhood.

Chinatown was a blast! The concentration of the Chinatown
neighborhood made for a very authentic experience. I’m not
much one for Chinese food, but I still found something I liked!
The gift stores and K-pop store were full of things I would have
never seen had I not gone to Chinatown. I feel very privileged to
live in a city with this kind of an experience to offer.

Exploring Chinatown really opened my eyes to the beautiful Asian culture. Before this
experience my knowledge of Chicago only extended to Rogers Park and Downtown. But
with this assignment I was able to visit a completly different part of our world within
this amazing city. Chinatown was able to draw me in by its building structures,
markets, and energy. This neighborhood transported me to a world in which I might
never even get a glimpse of but thanks to the diversity of the City of Chicago I was able
to experience a little piece of our world within every corner.

I really enjoyed visiting Chinatown! It was like being in a foreign country, with sights
and smells that I have never experienced. The restaurant was hectic yet enjoyable while
the grocery store was…special. They had products that I have never seen before, and I
appreciate the opportunity to experience new things.

Chinatown is a nice place to spend a few hours. There are so many places to eat and buy
your souvenirs.I enjoyed the bakeries and architecture.
